Be sure to visit Lincoln Road Package Store before leaving town. They have a huge array of barrel select bourbons. One of the best bourbon selections in the south. I stop there every time I pass thru.

If just looking for a place to stay and not interested in having a bunch of things to do around you, both Collins and Sumrall still had hotel rooms available. Not much to do around them but both are 20ish minutes from Hattiesburg

Best food:
Roses BBQ
Keg & Barrel
Fairleys
Winged it (only take out but great wings)
Crescent city
Ed’s burger joint makes a pretty good burger
Del Sol for mexican
Glorybound is a good spot to hang out and grab a drink and app
Triangle Seafood makes a good Po-boy, good seafood too
Stricks
T-Bones has good sandwiches, good coffee
Papitos is pretty good mexican, really cheap drinks
Tophers has great breakfast
Southbound
Nellies Chicken and Daqs
Best food:

Southern Prohibition just totally remodeled its taproom. It is also dog and family friendly. Great beer and great food as well.
