trust me I definitely put a lot of the blame on JJ. He's timid as frick and its killing us

he was too scared to move the ball down field with UF in prevent D.

Yet, no one dares to say anything after a win. Now, this board is CRAWLING with nothing but negative posters.

There is ALWAYS bitching on this board.

Just not as much after a win.

Truth is the RANT is a place to vent. Especially after a loss! People are venting.

If you don't like it then stay away until after the Auby game because there is gonna be lots of venting the next 2 weeks.

It's better for you to say, "I want the negative posters to shut up!"

If you really think that, then you must hate free speech.

while its not my style D either, if your 5-1 and 108 on offense, your doing way more on your end of the ball.

Just to be clear...you were "concerned" with the direction of our program 4 1/2 years ago? That would be nearly 50 wins, and SEC Title and a NC ago?

You sound hard to please. Or that you made up your mind that Miles was thw wrong guy from Jump Street and have been beaitng that drum since day one. You're not alone...I know a few guys like that. See my first post...it's a fun place to be. Enjoy the success but get to be ain the "I told you so" position if/when things go bad.

you know that the QBs regressing thing may have something to do with teams getting film on us, charting our tendencies, and building game plans around those tendencies to take them away.

so if the QB doesn't make progress during the season, the defenses against him get better and more prepared for him, then it will look like he is regressing when he actually has stagnated

I don't think JJ is any worse or any better than he was in week 1/2/3/4/5. I think the opponent was better, his tendencies are there for everyone to see and stop and he is at a cross roads in his development going into a BYE week

And America, too!

No...I simply love LSU football more. I'd never suggest that people don;t have the right (within the grounds the owner of this board has laid out) to say stupid things. they do. I'd simply suggest that when saying these things that they ask themselves what effect it will have on LSU Football?

I just think there's a world of differnce between being upset and saying so and going WELL out of your way to bash players and coaches. Unless someone is under the impression that Aleva is going to "make changes" based on the posts on here, or that Miles and staff are reading this for pointers...I just don't see how this benefits what we all say we love.

isn't this still a coaching issue?

IMO, it's time to sit him to at least put a spark in the offense. Has Lee improved? no one knows until he's in the game to do so.

wouldn't les be giving in to the fans wishes if that happened? you see what happened when the fans cried for more shepard..no PT whatsoever for shep...that's telling us les.

That's my issue. I just don't understand what you can do with that. Playcalls. Strategy.

IMO, this is like you having a job and people wanting you fired for not having the quality resources to do so successfully.

There are times there a plays to be made and the QB fails to do so.

This is not a coaching issue. This is a QB issue.

I think there are things JJ does well and things he does poorly. One of my gripes with Crowton/Miles is that they seem to consistiently keep asking him to do things he does poorly...like run the option. He clearly isn;t an option QB...yet they keep forcing that and it keeps getting blown up. They put Lee in horrible positions time and time again last year continually asking him to do too much and things he wasn't capable of yet...and we see where that got us.

I guess you have to decide between taking a chance with Lee and his turnovers, but ability to put up points or JJ's complete inability to move the offense.

when the team is running the meerkat so the OC can minimize the QB and maximize the coach's control of the offense what does that tell you about their confidence in the QB?

you think that is a lack of coaching? I think it is over coaching because they don't trust him and are trying to limit him.

Prom.

The hour before the UGA game, I said to myself,

"Man, if we can just get thru UGA and be 5-1 after the UF game, that would be great."

But we are that and I am just upset with the fact that we COULD have won this game and made Meyer upset that he played so conservatively.

Granted, Dubois makes a point...says that UF played like they had one arm tied behind their back, but we could have made them pay dearly for that.

I don't know if it was coaching or 'execution.' But we could have won that game with some offense.

So the fact that we COULD have won that game, makes me believe that we could be 6-0.

I'm just a bit upset that we let that one get away.....Had Tebow never gotten hurt, it could have gotten ugly, though.

I didn't like the hire from the start, yet I have tried to give him a chance. I have never once said he needs to be fired, but I have been concerned with our on the field play the entire time.

I know all about the 50 wins, SEC title and BCS title. I also know about the roster he inherited.

LSU is at a crossroads

they can run more one or two TEs and Power I/offset I with one or two WR routes which will max protect the QB and tighten up the formation. This will require JJ to effectively execute play action passing and more passing down the middle/seams/crossing routes. This is what killed JLee's career at LSU and cost them 5 games when they couldn't run the ball and the play action fakes wasn't fooling anyone.

or they can go full blown 4 WR spread/single back/zone read and put the game in JJ's hands by moving the pocket and making more outside the hash throws/vertical routes/dump offs to backs

this mixture of offset I then 4WRs/1 back then 5WRs is a grab of shite and isn't fooling anyone any more

one thing I will give credit to Saban and Alabama, they value protecting McElroy above all else and they don't expose him to much pressure. With the running game they have this makes for a simple and effective offense.
