i’m looking at the Guardians reported signings and their pool value and i don’t know if they even had 1.7 million to pay him.

I've seen conflicting "reports" about them offering 1.7 him saying no and they allocated more funds to someone else leaving less than 1 mil left. I've also seen negotiating was stagnant and they didn't have the 1.7 to officially offer. Hard to say but what is consistent was that he wasn't moving off of his number.

My god. We are talking about his options today. He can’t sign before the end of the 2027 season. He’s going to college somewhere.

My God do you read. Yes he has to go to college and after the 2027 season and before the draft he can still sign with Cleveland although I do not have any idea why he would do that.

Meaning his option is either LSU or Juco right now. And that’s it. No one is talking about what he does at the end of his season because it’s all predicated on what he has to choose this summer. You’re the only one talking about next year. But next year doesn’t mean anything until he decides his school. Idiot.

2 options

1) take the current money and make bank after service time hits

2) go to a great college program where they can help you improve

Those aren't the only 2 options.

Hasn’t the deadline to sign passed? Unless it’s NIL money, This wouldn’t be an option currently

From what I understand, his current options are

1. Go to LSU, be draft eligible after his Junior year.
2. Go to another 4 year college, be draft eligible after his junior year.
3. Sit out the season and train for next years draft.
4. Go to JUCO, be draft eligible after his freshman year.
5. He can play overseas, which is highly unlikely.

Yes. What he’s actually choosing between is LSU and JUCO.

That's all the explanation needed.

He has two options but not those two because the deadline for option number one has passed.

1 LSU and NIL for two years or
2 Playing in front of 500 people in JUCO stadiums for one year.

I know what I would do.

He really screwed himself
He reclassified which was the first mistake
If he wanted to go pro so bad then his agent screwed that part of it up

Now he’s stuck
Go to juco which doesn’t help him from a draft standpoint because of competition
He would have been better off staying in high school and being top high school player in his class
