SIAP... Olivia Dunne made $500,000 from a single NIL deal. Here's how she became the highest-paid female college athlete.
quote:

Olivia Dunne is the highest-paid female athlete in the NCAA with an estimated valuation of roughly $3.5 million annually, according to On3's tracker for name, image, and likeness, or NIL. This year alone, the Louisiana State University gymnast worked with ESPN, BodyArmor, Sports Illustrated, and Motorola.

Dunne revealed on a recent episode of the "Full Send" podcast that she made more than $500,000 from a single post, her most profitable deal yet. But she said she prefers long-term partnerships that feel authentic to who she is.

"What I love with certain brands is getting long-term brand deals," Dunne said on the June 29 podcast. "Those are probably the best because you build a relationship with the brand and they want you year after year."

For example, Dunne signed in 2021 a multi-year brand partnership with clothing brand Vuori.

Student-athletes have some of the highest engagement rates of all social-media influencers, influencer-marketing firm Captiv8 found in a study published in July 2022. Women athletes, particularly basketball players, performed the best for brands. And Dunne is no exception.

She has nearly 12 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. She has amassed 390 million likes on TikTok alone, where she's earned more than a million views on almost all of her videos during college.

She also founded in July the Livvy Fund at LSU to bring more NIL opportunities to the school's female athletes. Collectives, which are donor-funded groups that help college athletes build their brands, make up 80% of all NIL deals.

"Most of the collectives, the NIL collectives, they go to the men's sports, so I'm creating my own collective for the women's sports," Dunne told "Full Send." "Hopefully this fund is part of my legacy."

What nonsense. She's done more to promote LSU than just about anyone recently. She's well worth the money

There are plenty of ridiculously good looking female college athletes not making much or any money. The Cleveland State basketball player Larry posted for instance. It’s Liv’s looks but she also marketed herself well. Part of it is being in the right place at the right time.

It’s sounds like she made $500k from a brand deal not just making one post.

Now wait one damn minute here. I may not be able to relate to her value as a marketable influencer, but to say she doesn’t deserve what she’s earned is bullshite. Like any male athlete who gets paid for their God given skills, she is using her God given assets to make money legally and legitimately. It’s quite a double standard to say she’s not. Beauty fades like athletic prowess fades, with age. Now if you want to make a comment on how our society overvalues these attributes that’s another matter. But within the rules of the times, she clearly deserves her compensation. And my guess is that she works hard to get it.

The real money maker is selling cosmetics or clothes. Cosemetics is what put Rihanna and Katelyn Jenner in the billionaire level. Crazy how much money people are able to make from their name, image and likeness. More power to them.

Very well said. My only issue with her is that she plays herself off as a role model for young girls, when in fact she is playing into the very stereotypes she claims to despise.

You're fricking clueless. If it's so easy to amass the following she has that allowed her these opportunities, why haven't you done it?

it's not the most athletic fund. it's not the record breaker fund. it's not the athlete of the year fund.

Do you think the Kardashians deserve to be rich? That’s the trashiest group of women in Hollywood. It’s America where the many ignorant people of this country follow losers like that entire family and it gets them rich. Livvy has done more productive things than a lot of famous and wealthy people and she continues to carry herself well and represent LSU with pride

Damn, you're a bitch.

She won the genetic lottery. But for you, she won the wrong one.

Should she apologize that she's not male 6'6," 270 pounds, with 4.3 speed?

Should she apologize that she does not have 160 IQ?

There are plenty of men who make large bank off of their good looks.

She is working with what the good Lord gave her.

Go frick yourself.

Haley Van Lith at $1.5 million and Angel Reese at $1.3 million are doing well too. Its interesting that LSU's top NIL earners are all ladies.
