i guess he'd be the first person to leave a coaching job after signing an extension, right?
Not only would LSU owe Les Miles over 10M in buyouts, Jimbo's contract carries a 5M buyout, and a clause that states he also has to buyout any assistant that isn't retained by the new coach, which adds another 5M.
But continue with the Jimbo bullshite.

these posters act as though LSU has a bunch of angels on the team

Hanagriff also said that they had Jimbo lined up in 2012

Miami didn't sign one 5-star recruit last year. Their best recruit was a kid from New Jersey.
Jimbo pretty much owns the State of Florida right now.

lsu would not have to pay that all up front.
and 15 million in buyouts is nothing if you end up having an elite program.

so which one is it? the whole body of work or the last few seasons?
this season isn't over by the way

His agent took advantage of Alleva, reset the clock on his buyout for guaranteed years. Alleva was the idiot there.

it feels over. I know we're spoiled fans. I get that. But it feels over when you get dominated by a not very good Arkansas team 2 years in a row and lose for the 5th in a row to Alabama. It's hard to get pumped for the OM game, unfortunately. I'm trying though.

I honestly think if they get beat solid/pretty big by Ole Miss, then they wont hesitate.

I will silence these idiot talking heads now with all the speculation. So you're going to buy out Les and lure Jimbo with how much? See some details of his current contract. You have to buy him out at $5M and then pay him along with buying out Les Miles' contract. Good luck.

Fisher will earn $5M as a base compensation in 2015, with a raise of $100K in each successive year, culminating with him earning a base of $5.7M in 2022. That makes him among the sport's highest paid coaches. -Fisher's buyout will be $5M in 2016, $3M between 2017-18 and $1M before 2019.

1/9/12
2012 season
2013 season (4 future NFL starters on roster)
2014 (5 losses)
2015 (5th in a row to Alabama, 2nd in a row to Arkansas)

Ok? 20M is a huge chunk of change to any AD

It's 20M total, and despite what you believe the LSU AD department is currently making top 5 money. There is absolutely no way Jimbo could significantly increase revenue. Enough to justify a 20M dollar coaching change.

I think its highly unlikely LSU is able to get Jimbo Fisher fwiw.
