Let's just say they do have Jimbo lined up. What would the total cost of a coaching change be after they paid Miles his buyout, paid FSU to buyout Jimbo and then gave Jimbo a new contract?

Do y'all think Belicheck is going to take over Nebraska once they fire Riley?

TAF may think they have the inside track on Jimbo. I've heard off and on that donations have been lukewarm at best since the 2012 season. People have Miles fatigue and they are feed up with some of his bullshite. In many ways he's everything you would want as HC. But you can't deny that some of his actions have left many people scratching their head.

So was Orgeron. How'd that end up working out for us?

We can't base keeping Miles on his winning the last 2 games. Miles knows his butts on the hot seat and will hopefully have the team inspired to play well and win. You gotta look at the whole body of work and the decline in the program over the past few seasons.

he's talking to the wrong group. If he was talking to those who are actually working this, he would have said they have Justin Fuente lined up.

I would be ecstatic if we actually did get Jimbo. Will never happen though.

I think I read that if Jimbo were to leave FSU before 2016 he would owe the school 5 million. If he were to leave before 2018, it would be 3 million.

So, we would owe Les 12 million (is that the number?), plus paying off FSU an extra 5 million.

Jimbo may want to coach at LSU. It may be his dream job. I don't know. I do know that he has interest from NFL teams and he hasn't said no to them.

I do know that Florida is a better recruiting base than Louisiana. He is already getting paid stupid money.

I don't know. I don't see why he would leave.

Jimbo seems like a slime ball with player discipline issues. Do we really want him?

Anybody think Miami sends Les Miles a box of grass to taste test if he gets fired from LSU? I hear the grass taste pretty good in Coral Gables.

So if we win our last two games, ending the season with only 2 losses (which beat just about everyone's expectation for the year BTW), the program is declining?

He's no different from any other coach in modern day CFB. Takeoff the Jameis Winston scandal glasses.

I'm not opposed. I'm just being realistic after watching the coaching searches over the years. Lots of Blue Blood programs struck out. Why is LSU different?

Well UF did make a big time hire. Muschamp was considered a homerun at the time. Tennessee is unique in that they have no recruiting grounds in the state. Memphis kids don't go to UT and Nashville is just now starting to have a national presence in HS football. USCw had sanctions that prevented Kiffin from succeeding. Also no one realized Sark was a pill poppin' alchy.

Who else though? Miami I guess? That's a fair point. ND made a huge hire in Kelly.
