I know all about money
And when you play a true home and home like they will with Texas in 19/20, LSU gets peanuts when traveling to Austin.

Home and Homes will always be better than neutral site. Nothing like a big competitor coming to Tiger Stadium

I think most understand the reasons why. But it doesn't make a season ticketholder feel any better when they are shelling out big money for a crappy home slate.

I'd probably be complaining too if I still had my season tickets.

Not when it comes to recruiting outside of Louisiana and money.

I have attended all of our neutral site games since we started doing that. Great venues and great crowds and more pub than playing at home especially against teams like TCU, NCarolina, and BYU. I have been told by multiple people with the program that the players also really like one game a year in an NFL venue.

I hope LSU will continue doing this especially in Arlington, Houston, and Atlanta.

Besides a few billboards in the host cities, there really isn't much more "pub".

I hate em. Plus the hometown vendors get fold. Hotels, restaurants, fuel, groceries. The school wants hometown support but does not reciprocate.
How about bringing recruits to a big intersectional game in Tiger Stadium? Would not an electric atmosphere be a plus ... and be unique?

Doing it every couple of seasons is acceptable especially if it gives us some legit matchups. The "home and home" with Wisky was a lot of fun and the fans we met in Houston were great (and how many times do you get to see LSU play in Lambeau?)

But BYU in Houston? TCU in Dallas? Who cares. Would much rather see those games in Tiger Stadium. Texas is gonna be awesome.

I mean, I wouldn't trade the memories of Virginia Tech at home for anything. That was such an awesome atmosphere with a freakin ton of people on campus.

If we did that we would be a recruiting juggernaut!

I don't give a shite. The community loses a shite load of money when you had gone from playing 8 games on the reg to 6-7 now. No way to spin it.

And recruiting? Please, Les had co had no issues grabbing top players out of Texas well before they played a nuetral site game in Dallas or Houston. Plus, LSU is on TV. They get exposure. LSU has pulled recruits from the Carolinas, Cali, New Jersey, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Nebraska. They didn't need nuetral site games to do that. They just needed Les and Frank tag teaming.

Who cares? BYU and TCU, most likely.

Sure, but that's obviously not an option. We can't force good teams to come to Tiger Stadium. It's a 2-way street. You're setting up a false dichotomy. It's not BYU in Houston or Baton Rouge. It's BYU in Houston or McNeese in Baton Rouge.

I mean...SEC teams only come to Baton Rouge because they have to. They would never choose to go there.

Half empty stadium in the 3rd quarter will get you more neutral site games.

I have no problem doing this every few years, but the admin is really telling local businesses frick you. I get it though since it's a guaranteed $4m for just showing up. I don't mind Houston, but games in Arlington just suck bc it's in middle of absolutely nothing.

This is not true. Historically good teams have always come to Tiger Stadium. The list includes, Notre Dame, USC, Florida State, Ohio State, West Virginia, Arizona State (game moved due to Katrina), Virginia Tech, Texas A&M (prior to being in the conference). Those are just the big name teams I can name off the top of my head that have visited Tiger Stadium IN MY LIFETIME (Born in 85). That doesn't include the mid-level, Washingtons and Arizonas that have visited here as well. Hell Oregon State came here and didn't ask for a return trip.

This neutral site game crap started when Joe Alleva arrived on campus. We all know he is lazy as frick and we know that ESPN does all of the work to organize these neutral site games. It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together.

ETA: You think if we picked up the phone and called Michigan and asked for a home and home that they would say no? You are fricking kidding yourself if you think they would turn that down.
