Coach in press conference said: Ranaudo pith 5 innings if that. Hes behind due to a cold last week. All pitchers behind with week late start to practice and season a week earlier.
Pitching Friday Ranaudo, Saturday Ross, Sunday J. Bourgeois
Southern not on schedule due to Cadors decision, But he came to Coach PM later and said he regrets it. They are not on 2011 eaither unless change is made or rainout for a quick game.
Not as deep of a team. Only 32 players on roster with Jones to NFL, and a few injuries. A few walk ons filling those 3 to make 35 man roster.
Time change Saturday due to Basketball game on campus at 3. Were going to play at noon, but Coach PM wanted Gibbs some rest after game one and not a quick turnaround.
Ill post more if anythigng interesting is said.

Is hanover supposed to have a lot of pop?
I'm pretty sure he does. I went to the super regional and watched the batting practice. He was crushin it left and right. Swings for the fences almost too much though

Hanover had a knack for getting the clutch hit and driving guys the majority of last year

Batting order is overrated, but that is a wierd one. Also, its not like the lineup, or even the starters, will be consistent. Mainieri has certainly demonstrated he is not afraid to mix it up.
I wonder how he's going to get Koenneman in the lineup. I know its JUCO, but an 880 slugging is an 880 slugging. Those are beer softball league numbers. Hell, he could lose 50% of his numbers making the jump and still be an effective hitter.

He didn't even mention Koennmann as one of his best backups. He listed 3 best backups Johnny Dishon, Grant Dozar, and Beau Didier. Wonder what is going on with him

What is the reasoning for putting Hanover 4th?
Because he drops bombs.

I'll bet he regrets it. How the hell is he going to gauge how good his team really is, unless he puts his team to a test against the defending National Champs?

Watched Buzzy strike him out in a simulated scrimmage throwing nothing but meatballs.
Maybe he needs that lasik surgery that Dwayne Bowe got???

Really? Hanover/Gibbs 4/5?
Yeah. I can't get past that either.
I mean, I haven't seen practice and I don't know how Hanover has been making contact, but I just don't see how a 175 lb 2B is batting cleanup.

I read through the rest of the thread and apparently missed the answer to my post.

Hanover has RH Mike Fontenot potential...especially if Hanover had the legal use of a -6 bat. Fontenot could have hit anywhere in the lineup.

Koeneman is a little banged up at the moment.

Figured something was up with him. Dude knocks 50 dingers in 2 years in JUCO and is suddenly 3rd/4th at DH this year behind a guy coming off surgery.

There is no need to wonder about who is playing and how much they are playing this weekend. Unless Centenary is quite a bit better than they have been in the past I think just about everybody on the roster will get to see some action this weekend!
