Looks like this is what it's going to be. I like it for now...power spread out throughout the lineup as in 08.

Watkins LF (R)
Nola SS (R)
Dean 1B (L)
Hanover 2B (R)
Gibbs C (S)
Landry CF (L)
Mahtook RF (R)
Gaudet DH (R)
Delatte 3B (L)

What is the reasoning for putting Hanover 4th? Must be a strategy behind it because it certainly can't be for power...anyone, I trust Maineri just wondering the strategy behind it, Is hanover supposed to have a lot of pop?

PM said he wanted a solid RBI guy to protect Dean so that pitchers wouldnt pitch around him and he apparantly thinks Hanover fits the bill.

They seem to do a pretty good job of putting the bat on the ball.

Gibbs does also.

Mainieri doesn't want him to go over 100, probably pitch a good 5-6 innings then turn it over to relief.

Hanover doesn't get on base and neither of them hit for power.

I guess that has a lot to do with the chilly weather.

You really just can't replicate the adrenaline of game situations in practice so you need to build up your pitchers. There's no need to push guys hard against Centenary if you want them to be healthy in May and June.

PM also said that Hanover displayed a lot of pop during the fall.
