Interesting snowball effect going on

Central BR announced new security plans for their home games due to this

Anyone know of any other schools adjusting security plans?

2022 carroll fight at winnsboro high school

The October 20, 2022, altercation involving the Carroll High School football team occurred during an away game against Franklin Parish High School in Winnsboro, Louisiana. [1, 2]

The incident began during the game when the Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office received multiple complaints regarding Carroll coaches repeatedly using profanity in the press box. Despite being asked numerous times by officials to stop, the behavior escalated into a physical altercation in the stands involving coaches, fans, and law enforcement. [1, 2, 3]

The incident resulted in the following actions:

Arrest Warrants Issued: The Franklin Parish Sheriff's Office obtained arrest warrants for Carroll High School Head Coach Brandon Landers and assistant coaches Zemetress Randall and Drouzon Quillen. The charges included Inciting a Riot and Battery of a Police Officer. [1, 2]

LHSAA Penalties: The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) suspended nine Carroll coaches for the remainder of the season, revoked their coaching credentials for a full calendar year, and issued a $2,500 fine to Carroll High School. [1, 2]

Wait, Carroll drove all the way down to Napoleonville on their bus to do that ?

So unprofessional, poor sportsmanship, lack of control, no self discipline. What the hell are these coaches teaching ?

Then the school has a meeting to try and get around the ruling and does'nt allow the media in the building . Its' a public school paid for with taxpayer dollars. And the meeting was held at 9PM. Super sketchy there.

I had heard that Carroll in the past was throwing rocks and bricks at opposing school buses… so many times in fact that I thought it was a normal occurrence in smaller towns. I wondered why I never saw that

That used to happen at some of the smaller black high schools in North LA (Waterproof, mainly Lake Providence). You’d play the game wondering whether your bus was going to be on cinder blocks

First I’ve heard of this and was wondering why AHS got in trouble too.

From what I understand, AHS did not have their season suspended; however, they are no longer allowed to host any home games and all remaining games will be played on the road.

That’s WAY more harsh than a monetary fine. That probably destroys their athletic program budget.

There’s a reason they have to take a bus ride 5 hours for a regular season game. No one in north Louisiana wants the hassle of playing them and that happening at their stadium.
