LF7 v "Heisman Winner" Derek Henry

Has it been brought up that IF Leonard had gone to Alabama that he would have most likely been starting ahead of Derek Henry?
That right there shows how much of a joke the Heisman is now. LF may win it next year in which case it would be one of the rare cases that it actually goes to the best player.

Who knows what would have happened? All we know is that it didn't happen so stop worrying about something meaningless.

While that may be true, it is completely irrelevant.
The only thing that matters is that they both had incredible years, but when their teams played each other, Henry ran for 200+ and Fournette ran for 31.
There was no way LF was winning it over Henry after that.

Why the quotation marks? Did he not win?
This childish griping gets so tiring. Please stop.

Your conclusion is not supported by your premise which is itself faulty.
Bad argument bad OP bad thing for us to be talking about. Henry had a great season. Fournette did not deserve the Heisman.

The stupidity doesn't end

I've said the Heisman is a sham well before this year. The idea that the best player in football is only from a few select positions every year doesn't make sense to me.
I put much more stock in the individual position awards.

With Fournette and Henry on same team, neither would have won it. They would have split carries and not put up the yards to win it.
McCaffrey, Watson would have won it.
Cook would have been higher up.

Complete bullshite stat. Pundits realized at end of season that Henry's biggest detraction for Heisman was that he did NOT play Bama as LF did...
Henry would not have gotten 31 yds if he had been in LF's shoes in that game. He also might have gotten outpointed by McCaffery or Watson if he had a normal number of carries in last two games... 92 carries in two games!

Henry would have gotten less yards behind our o-line in that game

Let's see - Derrick Henry won
Heisman Trophy
Maxwell Player of the Year
Walter Camp Player of the Year
Doak Walker Award Winner for BEST RUNNING BACK
SEC Player of the Year
But LF7 was a better player
Boy LSWhoo fans really are delusional

You're an idiot if you believe he is a better running back. You can't be helped.
Henry is in a better situation/program atm.. and he's a Junior..
Every resected analysts has said the EXACT same thing. I wish I had recorded it now just so I could show you it isn't about being a homer. I do think this thread started by the OP is dumb, but Fournette is a better player.
Behind Alabama's line Fournette would have at least the same amount of yards, but probably more so because he has better moves and break away speed..
Henry deserved the awards, because he had the stats.. it still doesn't make him better. He also didn't have to run against Alabama's dline with predictability every carry.

Maybe he would have gotten more.
Again it doesn't matter.
The whole country saw Henry vs Fournette head to head and it wasn't even close.
Does that mean Henry is better? No.
Is it more a reflection of Henry having a better team and better coach? Probably.
But again it doesn't matter. The Heisman is all about perception. And The perception of LF being the best player ended when LSU's whole team shite the bed vs Bama.

Please stop.
The Heisman winner cannot get dominated in the biggest game of the year.

But Henry didn't run against alabama defense.
What were the stats against common opponents.. I really am too lazy to look it up. THAT would tell more than how they did against one another's defenses. That is more of a testament of the teams' defenses.
