Letting Munoz leave for Baylor and replacing him with Scott Linehan was a huge mistake.

Munoz worked closely with Brady and Burrow.

He coached and helped recruit QBs.

He knew our offense inside and out and would have provided additional continuity on that side of the ball.

And instead of promoting him to passing game coordinator and QB coach...we let him walk to Baylor so we could instead bring in Scott Linehan.

We can all agree that hiring Pelini was a colossal mistake, but letting Munoz walk away and bringing in Linehan was incredibly stupid.

There's a good chance Muschamp is fired by South Carolina at the end of the year. I swear, if I were the head coach or someone in the administration, I would be lining up the following coaches for next year -

- Jorge Munoz - Co-OC / Passing Game Coordinator
- Russ Calloway - Co-OC / QB Coach
- Will Muschamp - Defensive Coordinator

Yup and for the life of me I couldn’t understand why O let Munoz walk. Coach O literally pulled a Les Miles with his hiring and we fell for it hook line and sinker. This is now 3 very bad hires for Coach O that we will have to pay large buyouts for. The buyouts fall on the shoulders of our AD’s and they should be held accountable as well. This is absolutely unacceptable and must be addressed quickly before it hurts recruiting very badly. (If it hasn’t already)

This is Gerry DiNardo all over again. Paranoia has set in. Nobody is gonna tell him how to run his program.

In support of your position I give you yesterday’s third down efficiency statistics : 0-10. We are less than 30% on the season. Before the season started we should have known that we would struggle on defense bc if the youth and inexperience. This requires max efficiency and productivity on offense. The numbers “look” nice (points and yards) but the stats reveal an knee fiche this offense that should have put up 60 against MSU, Vandy and Mo. If we are going to win more than 5 games, we better start scoring more points.

SE fans are going to be upset when the offense gets shut down over the next few weeks.

No longer attacking the middle with combo routes, deep square ins, pick routes, bunch formations, slowly fazing out RPO.

Only attacking outside the hash or deep passing plays...sound familiar to 2018?

The RBs had 12 rushing attempts before the last drive...

Exactly. People think the offense is the "same" as last year because we're running out of the gun and sending 3+ WRs into coverage on every play.

When you look at the subtleties of what we're running, it's very much different.

I don't think throwing money at him would've made him stay. Lots of folks saw a considerable drop-off coming this year.

The way Orgeron was talking about him and how close he's working with Ensminger, I assumed he was doing this anyways. Plus, he already has coordinator experience, unlike Brady last year. Just make Linehan an analyst (expensive one at that) and start working on getting Calloway to take over when Ensminger finally decides he's had enough of this.

What exactly was he walking into at Baylor?

People IRL don't think like message board posters. The sooner most of you come to grips with this, the more sense you'll start making.

So I've watched all of the '19 games repeatedly, and I know I saw a few instances of Munoz being exasperated with Orgeron for one reason or another. His reaction to O calling that timeout just before the 3rd and 10 at the end of the first half against Clemson, Munoz was bent over in annoyance. And there was the shot in the game against Florida where Robinson was having to talk Munoz down from something, you could tell he was pissed at somebody (assumption that it was at O). But if I had to guess, if Munoz actually didn't want to stay here, it was because he didn't care for working with Orgeron.

I agree, I was hoping O would have promoted him into Brady’s position. I certainly didn’t like the Linehan hire and it’s showing it was a bad hire. He supposedly handles third down and red zone play calling, they went 0-10 on third down and that was 2 of the most predictable calls at the end of the game you could have called ( Miles like predictable ).

Maybe guys like Munoz knew that once Brady and Aranda left that the ship was going to sink.

CEO brought Callaway on to be lead analyst instead of PGC still blows my mind. Scott Linehan ain’t good.
On 4th-and goal from the 1, they ran the same play that failed throughout the game on 3rd-downs.

If CEO is a west coast guy still, he should’ve gone after Kris Richard for DC. The cowboys defense the last two years, Seahawks legion of boom were pretty good.

Can Jorge Munoz run a defense because in my opinion the offense has been humming along. Jorge Munoz doesnt make us 3-0.

Yep. This another problem. O has got to stop hiring his friend and retread coaches.

0-10 on 3rd down is terrible and is going to get you killed in this stretch bc you are putting your terrible defense on the field over and over if you cant convert 3rd downs.

Ensminger is past his expiration date. Thank him for his service and ask him to step down. He can stay on in an administrative capacity if he likes, but he doesn’t need to have his hands in the offense after this season. Demote Linehan to analyst status. If he doesn’t like it, maybe he’ll leave on his own.
