Winston is short too. Waters can handle him.

I just worry that Winston will use his power to drive into Tremont and get blocking fouls.

The PG matchup will be a ton of fun to watch.

LSU's track record against really experienced teams is troubling.

Florida State - Up big and lose a tight one in the end.
Houston- Up big and lose a tight one in the end

LSU actually played pretty good defense in those games. The difference was they got crushed on the glass. LSU got out-rebounded by a combined 26 rebounds. Reid had 6 rebounds COMBINED in both games.

Since that time LSU has become one of the better rebounding teams in the country and Reid has become a MUCH more willing rebounder. That's been the difference in this team from then and now.

There is reason to be concerned playing MSU. But getting killed on the glass isn't one of them. Today's version of this LSU is much different from the one in late Nov.

I agree with all of this but the underclassman piece, unless I'm missing some injuries to the young guys (and maybe I am )

Nope, you’re right. I missed Henry.

I think we will be better against the zone now that we were exposed to it in the last game.

Well the obvious is that Taylor is going to guard Winston

I doubt it. I think Waters will get a shot at guarding him first. If he can’t handle his size and physicality then Mays Or Smart will guard him.

Izzo v. Benford

Let’s be real. WW will be working with the team all week. Where we’ll see the coaching disparity is in the in-game adjustments. Even there, we have great X and O assistant coaches.

Make no mistake. Wade is very much scouting and surreptitiously communicating with his assistants and players. This is HIS team. He put this all together and is a basketball junkie. He's not just hanging out by the pool while his team sits two wins away from the Final Four.

Also, Benford is just the figurehead. Heir and Armstrong are doing the heavy lifting on the scouting/X & O work (as they have all season). To his credit, Benford hasn't taken any sole credit for the last 4 games. While he may have the HC title, he acknowledges that he, Heir and Armstrong are essentially co-HC's at this point.

Both these games are like ancient history, completely different team before we figured it out.

Pound the inside.
Get the free ones.
Make up with our 36% 3 pointers.
Make the adjustments.
Opps my bad forgot Wade not there.
Stay focused the whole game.
PLAY OUR DEFENSE SHUT THEM DOWN!
We bet them, duke, and Houston for the championship and the admin.
