This is the exact reason some NFL teams like the smaller school players.

A lot of kids are really good players without great measurable and end up at smaller schools. Lo and behold, a later growth spurt than normal produces a kid with all the intangibles that made him a great player, and now he has the measurables.

Uh, you might want to be careful with the "moron" tag, lest it fall back on you. If a player declares for the NFL draft, it doesn't matter if he hires an agent or not. He's done in college.

No shite moran....but not if you test the draft stock results and haven't hired an agent. It's just stupid to receive a less than 3rd round grade and still pursue

Sad I had to explain it further..but with the shallow kids in here, I see why

Trey Quinn led nation with receptions last year. That’s decent?

This.

So many of these guys get caught up with the hype of being a 4 and 5 start. At the end of the day, none of that shite matters once you get in the trenches. It’s about who busts their arse and improve themselves. Not stars.

There is, it's called DONT HIRE A frickING AGENT MORONS

Umm...no. As soon as a player declares for the draft, their college career is over. Even if they don’t hire an agent.

The coaching change helped DJ Chark and Russel Gage.

Gage would have never, ever seen the field if Miles would have stayed in charge.

I think y'all are saying the same thing. You can get a draft grade without sacrificing eligibility to help the decision to declare for the draft or not. But if you declare in the draft, you're done. Agent or not. My recommendation is that if you declare, hire an agent upon declaring.

And if you hire an agent or have someone represent you for consideration, at any point, you are done. It's the difference between 'amateur' and 'professional', which I've always thought was odd but whatever.

Yeah that was a bit of stretch by OP to call Quinn's production just "Decent"

We barely heard a peep out of DJ Chark until Miles was fired.

Trey Quinn led all of college football in receptions last year, was tied for 6th in TDs, was 10th in yards --- and that's only "decent"?

you're right. the top recruiting classes in the country don't win titles. oh wait. it's always bama, ohio state and clemson every year. the teams with the top rated classes.

Ok. You can also make the argument lsu has top recruiting classes year after year and don’t win shite.

Plus I wasn’t even referring to winning titles. I was referring to how these guys think just because they are four and five stars they are great enough to go after three years of being in college. Hence how Tolliver a five star and the Weathersby be a four-star, didn’t even get drafted
