I'm for letting Shroedinger's Cat coach the rest of the season. At least then we might win some of our remaining games.

I believe Shaq is to smart to fall into that Trap. Shaq is loved by all LSU fans. It would take less than one quarter as coach of any sport at LSU to stir the wrath of the experts.

It could be a Celebrity Coach Season. A different LSU star every week could come coach a game Why limit it to basketball? I'd go watch Tyrann Mathieu out there.

All respect to the team and staff, but this isn't working (and I hoped Coach JJ could pull this off even if he wasn't our best choice).

I've been saying this since he retired, give him a 5 Year Contract, it wouldn't be any lower than it is now

Pretty dumb idea. But, honestly, is it really that much worse than letting this debacle continue? How many of you would actually watch just for the intrigue factor? I'd put money on a tv and attendance boost, even if short-lived.

Why would Shaq want to coach? He has more money than he knows what to do with and gets to dick around with Charles Barkley as his "job." Why would he want to take on the responsibility of coaching college basketball?

As much as I love Shaq, having Charles Barkley coach would probably be more entertaining.

What would he have to gain from this?

So he can pour countless hours in and be unsuccessful just to have fans turn on him?

Just because you can play doesn't mean you can coach.

Ted Williams was a great player but a so-so manager at best.

You don't have to be a great or even good player to be a good coach.

John Madden was a great coach but never played professional football

I believe that would make the ranters both simultaneously happy and miserable, which, is kinda how we always are right now anyway.
