Well LSU didn't fire him, a jack arse did.
But, under his reign LSU was consistently in the top 4 of forbes list of how much the program was worth. his consistent winning earned LSU way more money than he will ever make. As a business, LSU got a good deal.

Instead of LSU underachieving because of his hiring buddies and stubbornly sticking with them just in football, he can do it in all sports.
