I could see an emotional season of 10-2 with regular season losses to Georgia and Texas A&M, a win over Georgia in the SECCG and a trip to the playoffs.

If this happens I will get an Ed Orgeron tattoo.

it is a disgrace what he 'accomplished' especially on offense.
He's accomplished, especially on offense, as he pretty much pwns the LSU record book.
It's all there in print, published by LSU.

The most successful stretch of LSU football in history is a huge mistake? Very questionable.

Well, those records amounted to little given the talent he had. You sound a lot like RickDaddy who is enamored of valueless statistics. As Bud Grant once said, "Statistics are for losers."

Again I say that hiring Miles was a big mistake. No question.

How did he fare down the stretch. Did not a single thing to develop an offense that could score against 'Bama while other coaches were able to do so.

His hiring was a big mistake.

you must be thinking of 2016, when interim coach Ed Orgeron was shut out.

You mean like the national championship, 2 appearances? The 2 SEC championships. 3 appearances? Or was it the 70+ winning percentage? Saying it was a mistake hire is just plain dumb.

Exactly. Statistics are for losers. All that talent and nothing except participation awards. No playoffs. No big time nothing in the last 10 years. Ten flipppin years and some of y’all call those wanting change “mediocre?!” Unbelievable.

Sometimes you have to blow things up, take a step back, assess why u have, then move forward in a productive way.

Those who just try and hang on for dear life ain’t gonna make it. And what’s crazy is that these guys (O and staff) have literally turned the roster around in ONE calendar year.

Nasty olineman and dlineman along with not being soooo predictable on offense is gonna be fun to watch and hell for opponents.

Lastly, if we on this board are all mediocre people bc we wanted this change, that must also mean Booger McFarland along with countless other alumni and college football analysts are also morons.

Recognizing that the man won championships is not the same as saying it wasn't time for a change.

Eta: typo

how do we know we won't be predictable. Should probably watch a game first before throwing out absolutes.

Of course records mean nothing if they don't fit a fool's agenda.
Most NC appearances of any LSU coach, means nothing

Yep, they're specifically recorded for making fools out of losers like yourself.

Why do you say this?

He didn’t go here

He’s coached at like 7 other schools. Some in direct competition with LSU.

He’s said he grew up watching USC.

You mean like promoting your very own DL coach to the Head coaching spot, keeping the current DC and promoting the TE's coach to be the new OC?

What we did was less like blowing things up and more like a coup where you kill the dictator in favor of allowing the generals to take over.

It was time for Les to go, and even those of us who supported him for most of his tenure agree on that. Replacing him with what we did, however, is where the issue arises.

Are you talking about the coach that won a national championship or the one who's LSU teams have scored 10 points in two games against Bama?

You need to clarify.

Those type of wins and consistently losing 3+ games are why Miles was fired. O was SUPPOSED to bring our offense into the 21st century. Which is also why for the life of me we didn’t go after an up and coming offensively minded coach
