Yes he would...look at what he's doing now at Kansas! Probably the worst college team in America!
Kansas has lost by 15 (to a Sun Belt team), 37, 40, 21, 41, and 30 points.

Miles had his faults, but he never had a team that would lay down like this and allow themselves to be soul raped by lesser teams like State or Mizzou.2014 we were ranked before the late season collapse. This is much different.

Coastal Carolina would probably beat us, and I’m not even kidding.

Pretty sure he was 3-5 in the SEC in 2009. That team was pretty bad.

Secondly, Joe Burrow would have won a Natty last year even if Carrot Top was the head coach.

First Burrow, Brady, and Aranda.

Second they DID win it last year with Farmer Fran

Les Miles is 42-32 starting on 1/9/12 with the worst offensive production in the country

Saban exposed and broke him

No thanks

He also never had a year as good as 2019, so?

he was 1 game away from a 2019 equivalent AND had another natty in addition

that's not as strong of an argument as you think it is

I’ll never understand the mentality that Orgeron doing a poor job = Les would have done a good job. You know it’s possible that neither would be doing a good job, right?

Les had many years of chances and consistently underperformed. Orgeron has followed up a meteoric rise with an unimaginable collapse. They’ve both done great things for LSU and both given us a share of WTF. It doesn’t always have to be Les v. O.

he was ONE missed FG and political bullshite away

yeah we lost in the title game, but you can't ignore the 13 previous games. Miles was THIS close to a 2019 season

he ALSO had another natty and multiple BCS bowls (when that meant something pre-playoff)

let's be fair

O followed with mediocrity and a meteoric rise in 1 (potentially outlier) season and then had the unimaginable collapse

Les, for all of his faults (and lord knows i pointed them out 2005-2016) would NEVER have a team this bad. this is the worst LSU team of the modern era by a long shot. this is a very, very very embarrassing year and it's on the coaches (primarily O)

up until that game, we were pounding our chests as the GOAT, so yeah it's very close to 2019
Yeah and OJ Simpson is very close to not being a murderer.

Your proving my point for me- that was an incredibly talented team and Les got his fricking teeth kicked in when it mattered. O’s team won big.

Right, he 'almost' did it, but he didn't. And not only didn't he do it, but that 'one game' was about as Miles as it gets. He totally shite the bed and that 'one game' is all anybody remembers from that season.

And get serious if you are trying to compare 2007 with 2019. That season was classic Miles with the usual inept clock management, personnel management, and all the other stupid shite he was famous for. He lost two games we had no business losing and was a last second TD on a play that could have been a disaster from losing to Auburn. 2007 was a product of luck. I'll take it, but let's not act like that was a well coached team, it wasn't. That was the high point of Miles' tenure and it was in spite of his ineptitude as a coach.

you're ignoring that in addition to 92% of 2019, Les has ANOTHER natty (and before that, a legit BCS bowl win)

and, more importantly for this thread, no season close to this bad

Joe Burrow and Joe Brady are never at LSU without O.

Goddamn why is that so hard to understand?

Scott Frost, Jimbo, Fleck and Tom Herman both passed on even recruiting Joe.

Les was circling the drain in 2016. He was so in demand the best job he could get after LSU was Kansas. And he’s really doing an incredible job there, right?

I didn’t want O hired either. I preferred LSU hire an offensive minded head coach with a proven history of qb development.
