This is a thread about Les Miles. If you don't want to talk about him no one's making you.

And idiots on here thinks he will turn Kansas around

He might. He didn't do too bad turning around a Oklahoma State that had one winning season in like the fifteen years before they hired him. He didn't do too bad giving LSU its best years in our history.

The idiots might be guys like you.

Good luck finding a good "passer" at Kansas.

KU QBs on the depth chart now are
Bender - SR - 3 Star - 6'1, 177(and we think Brennan is small!)

Stanley - JR - 2 Star(Dual Threat LOL) - 6'2" 188

Kendrick - SO - 3 Star(Dual Threat) - 5'10" 200

Kansas may not throw a fricking pass for 3 years under the Miles standard.

He is not a great coach,

Facts prove you dont know what youre talking about

You can't have it both ways.

Miles is great, but he can only win a high % of games at LSU playing with a loaded deck, and big-time budget.

So he will still be great if he goes to KU and wins half his games.

We are talking about 2 different things, I think great coaches make programs, you think great coaches should only win at great programs.

If Miles is what you claim, I say he should go to KU and be on the level of LSU. Otherwise, he is an average coach that will accomplish only what the program has accomplished in the past.

There you go Ricky, we on the same level now I used the term accomplish for you.

I love Les but his stubbornness and desire to stick to Michigan style I formation football did him in. The game passed him by.

He is not the only one I place in that category.
Cholly Mac, Tom Landry are also examples of very nice coaches that would not advance with the game.

I mean...........if he's a GREAT coach, he should at least be able to elevate KU to something better than 6.5 wins per season(what Mangino averaged).

I mean, unless we think Mangino was "great". Of course, Mangino apparently was great............at being a raging a-hole.........but that's another thread. LOL

does he not realize that he was responsible to recruit and develop these QBs?
This is not to bash you but do you not realize what he meant?

And they say coach O throws players under the buss. This was funny as hell. Especially when he said his qbs couldn't process under fire so he had to run the ball more.

Lea miles didn’t beat anyone. The outstanding Louisiana high school players that came to LSU won the games. Miles held them to one NC. Any other coach wins 2 to 4 with that talent.

Miles' problem wasn't getting talent at the QB position. In fact, he got great potential talent there. His issue was refusing to hire an assistant or OC that could actually develop them.

Instead his hires were all horrible at this and it showed as most QBs regressed much of their time at LSU.

I honestly think he's slipping into dementia and was the last few years at LSU.

more like going into "laziness"
He had his NC ring and his big contract

Brandon Harris was a spectacularly bad recruiting miss. He was truly terrible. No coach could have fixed him. Miles had a real problem acknowledging mistakes and making changes. See also, the hiring of Cam Cameron.

Mett, Etling, and Burrow as opposed to Jefferson, Lee, Hatch, Jennings, Harris
If Mett was developed at UGA, then Hatch from Harvard belongs in the first group......and pretty sure Burrow has worse RAT than all QBs listed except Hatch.

Nothing has changed with the new coach. Maybe it's an LSU problem.

This isn't true at all. Who actually regressed?

So was Anthony Jennings. And a host of others who left during that time.
