This is not to bash Miles but does he not realize that he was responsible to recruit and develop these QBs? If you can really point to one thing that got him canned is his inability to recruit and develop a good QB. Les Miles introduced as Kansas coach

He still presided over the best run of LSU football success despite all the bad luck at QB.

Really sounds like we had big issues with guys playing well in practice and then folding in the games.

Amazing how such an idiot was able to beat coaches like Saban, Urban Meyer, Chip Kelley, and other solid coaches over the years

Didn't some insiders say some of our QBs would look great in practice and then have no idea what happened during Gameday. I don't mean the last season season or so, but prior to Harris transferring.. During the Jefferson, Jennings, Harris era?

We didn’t have passers because he couldn’t develop them.

Les’s problem was than instead of aimplifying the offense for college kids he just stopped throwing the ball if he didn’t have a QB who could do what he required him to do.

I have heard it mentioned in the past, but for les to hint at it years later when hired at another school has to confirm to some degree

Lea miles didn’t beat anyone. The outstanding Louisiana high school players that came to LSU won the games. Miles held them to one NC. Any other coach wins 2 to 4 with that talent.

In his defense, Harris was awful in Fedora’s QB-friendly system and Jennings was an average Sun Belt QB.

Les’s only real transgression was his love affair with Jefferson when Lee could make things happen but was interception-prone.

Lee was probably a better pocket passer but he was terrible under pressure.

Les knew we were gonna have to play Bama again, and they were gonna pressure the QB.

JJ wasn’t much better but st least he could run, but was a shite scrambler.

Yeah I’m not even talking about the illegitimate mulligan. Mostly the 2010 season.

Especially with Brandon Harris.

From Rabalais to Jimmy Deets to Scott long, everyone who saw Harris practice said he was absolute money. Hit everything, dropped perfect dimes, threaded lasers at all ranges...

But it did not translate. When the bright lights came on, he just didn't have the composure.

I know, with all the amazing history of our program, the fact that he didn't win more is a shame.

Its not like he took LSU to more national championships than even the best college football coach even, Saban or anything.

I’m sure Les’ approach to offense had NOTHING to do with the “passers” struggles

There was clearly no other possible way to compensate for these deficiencies but to line up in the I formation and run into 9 man boxes.

Surely no other philosophical approach could have helped give the players a better chance to win.
