Does that make Ed Orgeron an idiot for copying his train of thought this year?

Les was far from perfect but he was nothing short of the best coach in LSU history. QB play has always been spotty at best for LSU regardless who was coaching. The idiots that shite on Les are the ones that became fans in 03.

Nobody has beaten Saban more times than Miles did.

The biggest problem Les had was the fact that Saban became the best coach in college football at Bama. Any coach we get, as long as Saban is over there, will only produce 2nd best teams(at best).

When we had passers, we threw it," Miles said. "When he had guys that could not throw the ball well, couldn’t process under the heat of the game, we ran the football. ... It really becomes the style of personnel that you have in the program.”

And its this type of mindset that got him fired and blownout by good teams the last few years at Lsu.When i hear comments like that it makes me glad hes gone.

Wow. He's STILL a truly horrible person masquerading as a decent one

Les’s problem was than instead of aimplifying the offense for college kids he just stopped throwing the ball if he didn’t have a QB who could do what he required him to do.

Yep

Les has an approach that meant the vast majority of pass attempts came in MUST pass situations

Um. If you're worried about your QB handling pressure, this is pretty much the exact opposite of the approach you need to take

That. And the fact that Miles coached as if the INT was the equivalent of losing the game. Sure. No one wants INTs. But you can't sacrifice your first born to avoid them

That's probably true. But if you look, the majority of people just bashing have like 500-1000 posts, and sometimes a lot less than that. It's likely just people who joined to get a few jollies by stirring up shite or alter/burner accounts.

Les definitely had his faults as a coach, especially towards the end, and he was eventually fired for them. But some people just seem to see red whenever they read his name.

His persona is a fraud and the quote from the OP is but one more example of that

If I'm not mistaken, he was a huge Lee supporter who never forgave Miles for that QB choice decision.

The man blames his QBs for him not throwing

Yet. Even when he had a guy who would start NFL games at QB and two future NFL Hall of famers at WR along with another guy who is starting in the NFL at WR, he barely cracked 40% passing.

The man is just a pleasant sounding liar

This. As always. Is a false characterization made by people who were sitting on LESs nuts. If you didn't like what he was doing, they claimed you had some love affair with Lee. Nothing but deflection

Just so I have you right, you're shitting on a year where we threw for over 3000 yards and were extremely dynamic on offense?

And he’ll (Les) always be worth more than your sorry arse and will occupy real estate in your bird brain. Why? Because he’s a better man than you.

Les’s only real transgression was his love affair with Jefferson when Lee could make things happen but was interception-prone.

I hear/heard this narrative all the time but it ain't my recollection of things. I looked up their stats, tell me which was which?

There really was no other alternative. Think how great his record would have been if he hadn't been hamstrung by the depleted roster Saban left him. offensive genius. Makes perfect sense that we'd want to stick with that staff as long as possible

Amazing how such an idiot was able to beat coaches like Saban, Urban Meyer, Chip Kelley, and other solid coaches over the years

Kelley doesn't belong in the same sentence with Saban and Meyer. Not to mention that Miles lost to Kelley in their only match up in the music City bowl.

I do agree that it is amazing that such a idiot as Miles beat Saban, Meyer and other top coaches on multiple occasions. I think it says even more about our current coach that he lost the games he has went against these same coaches that the guy you call a idiot beat.

But don't let facts get in the way of your agenda.
