But in general, the only people in the college football universe who would take Orgeron over Miles reside in a very specific portion of the LSU fan base and nowhere else.
The problem with this line of thinking is, Miles can't get a coaching job at any of the power 5 conferences.
If you think he isn't interested in coaching anymore you are fooling yourself.
Miles has said in interviews he wants to coach and has not had 1 serious inquiry.

I read the topic as les miles vs Oregon.
In which, he did a great job coaching and TM made his heisman candidate debut

Neither. But if I had a gun to my head, I’d choose Miles easily over Orgeron knowing that he would have given us wins against all schedules not just wins against easy schedules.

quote:AU beat them last season. Show us the data where they spent 100M on recruiting? Because that is NOT A FACT. Otherwise they would be broke.
Nobody nor NO PROGRAM in the NCAA will beat Saban or Bama until he retires. Bama spends $100plus million on its recruiting budget alone. That's a fact

I was ready for Miles to be fired but I’d take him over Orgeron every time.
I honestly never thought we would fire Les only to hire Ed.

Les made winning football miserable. Im for O.
So, losing to Troy and getting blown out by Miss Star is fine as long as when we win it looks better?
Sorry, but I’d rather win no matter how bad it may look.
And again I say his as someone who was fine with Miles being fired.

You think Miles does?
I may be wrong but doesn’t Miles have more wins vs Saban than anyone else in the SEC since Saban came to bama?

Anyone who answers O is fricking stupid.

Horrible thread as both are sub standard and Miles is long gone. Why is Les still being discussed? Grow up. Support O for now and enjoy the season. If he flames out then we move on.

This is logical.

You think Miles is sub-standard?
We should just shut up and support O? You people suck too.

Les lovers are more retarded than les.
I don’t think there are many Les lovers here. But the fact is hat he is a better coach than Ed Orgeron by every single measure. It’s not even close.
Read the thread. Most people choosing to answer the OP question with Les Miles say it was time for him to be fired. Just never should have been replace by O.
Not sure why that’s so hard to understand

Read his contract, dumb arse. He has to say this.

Les in his prime was great for LSU;Les at the end appeared unable and unwilling to reverse the downward trend. It was time.
Miles did a great job of taking the momentum built by Saban and building upon it. Orgeron took over a program whose foundation was weakened and had significant shortcomings at it's most key positions, quarterback and in the trenches. It's not a one year fix for any coach.
Imagine if Miles had stepped into THAT scenario as opposed to the one left by Saban. His career path is likely much different.
Don't know if Orgeron is ultimately the fix but there are signs the talent level is being replenished. This season will give us clues as to whether the current staff is up to the challenge, although it may be through player improvement vs final record. The schedule is very imposing.

Were you at the Wisconsin game? Was an unheralded lie set upon the tiger faithful. Watching that display of in your face, FU’ness was enough to make me lose my respect for Miles. He told everyone what they wanted to hear and change was not on display that day. I’ll take the loaded O and D line recruits, get our usual athletes, try to get a competent QB for once, and move on. What did Miles prove in the end that makes you think he would change? For me, it was a LIE and nothing else and he would never change.
I was there and this is 100 per cent true. Don't let your hatred for O blind you to the truth.

you read his contract dumbass. The truth of the matter is Miles can't get a coaching job La. College , much less a gig with a power 5 school. He is a good ole boy, w/o a clue how to coach a top flight team. Hell , even a bottom flight team. As hard as it is for some of you asswipes to imagine , Miles is the laughing stock of his profession.

I have, fricktard. You don’t even understand what I’m talking about.
Miles has a natty and SEC championships. He’s hardly a laughing stock. Do you know who is though?
