How is this a question? A dude who caught lightning in a bottle or a guy who put together multiple title contenders over multiple years?

Miles had his faults but the dude knew how to win. 07, 09, and 11. That 11 defense was scary. Factors out of his control screwed him more than anything whereas O was just at the right place at the right time.

And he still has more wins against Saban than any other coach in the SEC. clown question.

What was special about '09?

We were like 9-4 with a miserable mud loss in Orlando to PSU.

I liked Les, but he screwed himself more than anything. If he fields a consistently competent passing game during his tenure he probably has 1-2 more titles.

Consistently competent passing game. Not 2019 level, not even 06 or 13 level per se. Just get us something that produced 200 or so yards per game with 1-2 TD passes. That was doable. We went 11-2 in 2010 and Jefferson was absolutely horrible passing for like an 8 game stretch, with more Ints than TDs on the year. Anthony Jennings was sub 50% passing for a whole season as the starter. Those things shouldn’t have happened and that’s on Les.

Les was a consistent winner here for a decade. I don't give a shite about his off field issues. He was stubborn as frick and we ultimately had to move on.

0 was the worst coach in Ole Miss history and outside of getting Burrow would be in the running for worst coach in our history as well. Les is 10 times the coach 0 is.

May want to check your "fact." We averaged 35 a game in 2013.

Les ALL DAY. That smash mouth football and mentality to break people wills in the 4th I loved it. But the game changed and Miles didn’t. O was the perfect coach for 2019 but it couldn’t be sustained because O changed and the game left him behind. That’s my take.

Les Miles.

Teams we’re frustrating but we weren’t the laughing stock after his Natty.

Les never put us to break even as O did… twice.

I go with O. LSU was boring asf to watch for years under Les. I remember saying that if I wasn't an lsu fan I probably wouldn't have watched many of their games. Obviously the defense was top notch but the offenses were THAT bad and vanilla

Disagree. At least two seasons we had some pretty good teams that after the bama loss just seemed to mail it in and lose to Arkansas and ole miss. They knew we didn’t have a shot at the natty or the sec after bama and had nothing left to play for.

Miles offense was not only outdated, it was also extremely undisciplined. The amount of delay of game penalties and just pre snap confusion was mind boggling.

Something tells me you've forgotten about all the 0 years without Burrow.

2011 was like getting a date with the prettiest girl in school only to find out she was a boy.

Les, easy. He left the program in great shape, dipshit Ed ran it into the ground.

Les is a better football coach. This isn't close. And I really disliked Les.

O wasn’t afraid to try and change things up, in order to better the team

O was an idiot who had to constantly change things b/c he had no idea what was wrong (let alone how to fix them).

O was pegged by a lucky rabbit's foot that was consecrated by the Pope in the offseason of 2018 when Burrow became available AND Nebraska didn't want him AND we had Bill Busch there to recruit him.

O's last 2 seasons were terrible, but it was nothing like the Miles stretch from 2008-2016. That 8 year period felt like 30 years.

are you comparing 2010, 2011, and 2013 to 2020 and 2021 and saying 2011 was inferior?

Les also wore his teams out in practice. Remember 80 play scrimmages during game weeks?
