enough to keep a job for 6 years?

I suspect the 6 year run would be over with if spike's contract had expired at the end of this past season. and you could probably include crowton and the stud in this statement

Combined.

That's probably a tough one to support. However, he certainly knows more than the vast majority of this board combined, and probably more than any individual poster or selected groupings of "knowledgeable" posters.

If the truth of this was truly realized by some posters, it would be life-threatening ego-kill.

I've always wondered what would happen if you take anyone on this board and put them in a room with the coaches for a coaches meeting or to go over details of a practice or something.......

IMO, Les has done an excellent job of recruiting talent to LSU (which is evident in the fact that LSU had the most players invited to the combine); however, his past coaching hires prior to Chavis have been questionable and not to mention his clock management problems.

I think Les is a great CEO of the football team when he has the proper coaching staff in place. I really think the Co-DCs thing really sent the program backwards and we are finally coming out of it.

I think the recent hires of Chavis, Wilson, and Gonzales will go a long way to restoring the program to NC contender. The talent is HERE. We had a chance to win every game this past year in the 4th quarter then again we were close with almost all teams in the 4th. We need to progress at QB and on the OL but the pieces are there IMO...

All that being said, his clock management really does frustrate me bc he is NOT involved in play calling directly so he should NOT lose focus on the clock. I could understand if a HC like Sean Payton or Saban (just 2 exampls of HC who call plays) would get distracted and lose track of the clock bc they are totally invested in the offense/defensive calls.

Doesn't matter whether he knows more about football than us, and hopefully for 4 mil per year he does. What does matter is if he earns his 4 mil per year.

Barack Obama knows more about politics than this whole board combined also. But that doesn't make him good at decisions does it!

What say you now? Cause I promise you Charlie Wies knows more than Miles and where has that gotten him in big-time college Fball?

Sqeaky wheel gets the grease, keep sqeakin Tiger nation if there is something that you don't like!

He probably "knows" more, but how he uses that knowledge is being severely questioned by CFB experts all over the country, not just this board.
