these were kids coming out of HS a lot of other programs wanted and they selected LSU. They didn't work out for various reasons but they had the "stars" that people want.
I'm curious what would had happened if Kragthorpe had never gotten sick and he would have been the OC like originally intended. Gary Crowton had this board excited and so did Cam Cameron. Now people hate both but when they were hired people on this board loved it because of the background of each.
and for those that want to, blame Les.... he obviously sucked

that dude is a special man. To suck up his pride and show up for this. Says a lot about the man.
He was just totally stuck in that 70's Schembechler mode and couldn't evolve away from it.
Alleva gave him a chance to fix the problems, but he arrogantly just walked away and did nothing.
He hasn't received any HC offers either, so at this point, he might have been hitting up O for a position as Assistant OL Coach.
And no, I do not feel sorry

I hope I'm wrong but I seriously doubt we'll ever have another coach so endearing and honest. I miss him. I miss his ability to speak nonsense but get his point across, and I, for one, am pouring out a toss sweep for my homey...

Miles screwed the LSU program due to his selfishness. He knew he could no longer keep up with the other coaches on the field, yet stayed anyway to collect his paycheck. In the process he kept LSU from getting the coach it deserves last year and squandered a loaded team this year.
