no rudy, JJ has played well since bama last year. but you already knew that. lee doesnt have a 13td to 1 int ratio. but you already knew that too.

Cause you have to take the good with the bad. A lot of times he is "takes a sack" every one is covered and he is looking to make a play with his feet. I don't see anyone screaming when he runs one for 20 yards when everyone is covered.

Because this has happened a total of 1 or 2 times.

I think half of you think JJ is going to be drafted????

First his delivery is terrible. He doesn't know how to read a Defensive front. He only throws to the primary WR/TE or runs.

Examples. Missed #86 on a wide OPEN play last night because he was a scared little girl.

Example. Got sacked in the endzone because it takes him so long to deliver a football.

Now, all this aside, he can defiantly be a good solid QB at LSU and he has improved throwing the ball. But he is not better than JL. They are equal. JL had one bad game and whatever. He played got us Ws for the rest of the games.

I feel much more confident with JJ at QB...he's not scared, he makes the defense respect his running ability, and they also have to respect his arm strength.

FIFY

Not taking anything away from what he has done for us this year, but if we're facing a defense that can shut down our run game, I don't really feel comfortable with JJ having to get the offense going with the pass. Would everyone be as confident with JJ if Bama would have made one of those missed field goals and he couldn't get us more than 6 to win? Yeah, Lee stunk it up last week, but let's look at the body of work. He had a horrible 1st year, and steadily progressed over the next three, and had the season we needed him to have this year up to the Bama game. I do believe we need both to win, but I just don't have the confidence in JJ's true QB abilities because I haven't seen enough of it this year to make me think otherwise.

Not me. He won't even play in Canada

Are you a coach? It's better than Lee's who throws off his back foot and his terrified to get hit.

Again, I presume you are a coach and have the coaches copy of the game film to make that observation.

Horrible play call and horrible blocking. One man route that was double covered. If you were going to pass it, they should have moved him out of the pocket.

So throw the ball out of bounds. Every one is praising his strong arm, launch it over the receiver's head.

JJ is definitely not scared to take a sack.

Good thing, he waits until the receiver is open before he throws, does not seem he can anticipate at all.

Going back to last year Cotton, JJ was damn good with a new OC

Crowton was still OC in the Cotton.

No way to know that.

With JJ in the game, the defense has to spread out to defend the option along with safeties spying/cheating the LOS which opens the passing game.

Not based on JJ's collective body of work. He was totally ineffective for the majority of the season last year.

Notice how when JJ is playing, the receivers tend to get open more often?

That's laughable. If they are so damn open why does JJ not get them the fricking ball?

I'll be happy when both of these BELOW average quarterbacks graduate. Hopefully next season there will be something new to divide the fan base.

Rather take the sack rather than throw int's

He's probably taken more sacks in limited action than JL has thrown INTs.

Going back to last year Cotton, JJ was damn good with a new OC and better play calling. Not to take anything away from Lee, but we would still be 10-0 with JJ starting. This team is built on running the ball with a dominant defense. In a low scoring game or close game, JJ gives LSU the best chance to win. Teams can easily game plan for Lee if the other team is able to stop our running game.

FWIW, saw JL run the option and scramble for 15. Also saw JJ "hold the ball and get a safety.
Look, Like I posted earlier, both have strengths and weaknesses. Les is letting them both work on what they needed to last night.
We need both even in a low scoring game. it is all dependent on the opposing teams dline play. JL has a better release and is more accurate in tight quick throws now. I thikn it is due to the three step drop and coaching this year. throwing to spots rather than waiting for receivers to get open. JJ needs to work on that IMO.

So one good game against TAMU outweighs JJ's performance the rest of THE 2010 season and makes him a great qb?

really, 170 yds against a Big 12 defense doesn't warrant xxxxx....

As was the case last night to some extent. We've put up 40 on SEC teams this year. For awhile last night, it appeared we may not get to 35.

Really? What does he have, 3 or 4 pics this season? That's reverting back? I believe that JJ had more pics at this point last season, along with a hell of a lot less TDs and a hell of a lot more sacks. .
