Most fans ARE reasonable and could have tolerated a loss to Bama.

What they can't tolerate is why, beyond all logic and reason, Miles went into that game with the plan that he had and then continued to stick to it even though it never worked. They fans didn't deserve it, and the players sure as hell didn't deserve it.

If the fans have been unreasonable, it's only because of Miles' lack of reason.

Also, those 8 straight runs and a subsequent 9th on a QB scramble left us at the 32 yard line with over 6.5 mins left.

And it was the one time in the game I actually got my hopes up thinking "score here, and it's 1 possession". I actually remember thinking, "les better not frick this up and go for 2"
The optimism of football fan during the game.

I never understand when people say this. Or when they say that ticket sales will go down. Go ahead and try to make a statement by giving up your season tickets--watch how quickly they are taken by somebody on the waiting list. LSU football isn't going anywhere. Tiger fans are too stupid to realize that anybody else in the country would give anything the trade their team problems for ours. Oh no we lost one game this year we suck. You sound like a spoiled little brat complaining because daddy bought you the blue BMW instead of the red one like you told him you wanted.

I actually think it is the other way around. The older fans have sat through absolute shite for LSU football during their lifetime and are actually appreciative of the success we are currently experiencing.

Frat boy just became a fan in 2003 or 2007 and thinks every single year LSU should win a national championship

That angle exist as well, so I agree.

I just can't shake out of my min the type of people saying "He owes us explanations he makes 4 mill a year!" are the 40 something, a kid or two kind of guy.

The people running around screaming "MILES IS AN IDIOT! WE'RE FALLING OFF THE CLOUDS!" is your frat guy like you described.

I'd really like to see a breakdown of how much the whiners on here have contributed to LSU in the last year--TAF, LSU foundation, whatever. Not much, I'm willing to bet. I'd go out on a limb and say a lot of them wouldn't know how to get to Tiger Stadium if you dropped them at the North Gate of campus.

I am as disappointed as anyone in the game that shall not be named, but to watch how miserable people in our fan base make themselves, in THE GREATEST run of our schools history is mind blowing.

We are not, nor have we ever been, Alabama, Miami 80's, FSU 80's-90's, Nebraska, OU etc.

LSU has always been a very respectable, solid, college football program. For years we lurked just outside of the true elites and we as a fan base always wanted better, to belong with the blue bloods. Well look around, we are there!!!

By any measure, the last 7 (Miles - 81.5% 2 SEC and 1 NC) or 12 years (Miles & Saban - 78.3% 4 SEC and 2 NC) is as good as it is going to get. If you aren't satisfied, and by this I don't mean we can hope or work to get better, and it truly infuriates you that we are "fricking terrible and coached by a moron", then you need to give up being a fan because you will never be satisfied.

If you took the last 12 years and extrapolated them across the history of LSU, we would have the greatest college football program ever.

Games - 1170
Wins - 916
Loses - 254
SEC Championship - 40
National Championships - 20

As sad as it was, those 8 straight running plays accounted for over 27% of our total yards and enabled us to cross the 50 for the 1st time that night.

Also, those 8 straight runs and a subsequent 9th on a QB scramble left us at the 32 yard line with over 6.5 mins left.

That wasn't quitting, we weren't good enough that night to finish. Yes we were bad, but Bama was equally great. You have to give them some credit in this.

And the end result was zero points, and no time left on the clock to attempt a passing game. Basically a failed effort.

How am I wrong? Do you consider Les Miles a bright man?

You are an arse...Miles was bright enough to be accepted to and graduate from U of Michigan which is not a piece of cake...

He was bright enough to out coach many other NC winning coaches...and navigate a team without a "strong" QB through one of the most challenging seasons (based on competition) any college football team has faced in the modern era without a regular season loss!

He was bright enough to step into a situation at LSU where he KNEW he was going to be constantly criticized by a fan base that loved them some Nick so bad!

He was bright enough to hold a team together in the midst of one of the most devastating natural disasters to ever affect a team (Katrina and Rita)and helped exceed the previous coach's last year at LSU

And there is nothing serendipitous about the extreme hard work, long hours and sacrifices he made to get where he is today...

and he has made winning so believable at LSU that the fan base has put on blinders, forgot the past and have turned into dribbling idiots posting on here.

Hey bruh 2008 called and wanted its excuse back. frickin idiot. It's sad when your own fan base talks more shite about your coach than the opponents fans. Even though we curb stomped every team we played except the best Bama team of all time.

This is absolutely correct. The same people who think that we can get any coach we want at any time because "who wouldn't want to coach LSU?!?!?!"

Morons. It's easy to get sucked into the world of the rant when you read it a lot, and believe that most fans think this way. None of my friends (that graduated from LSU) think this way.

These are Wal-Mart fans that hopped on around 2003. They are serial complainers and nothing more. They have zero problem booing 18-22 kids that accomplished more in those 4 years than they ever will. Les Miles is better at any part of his job than they will ever be at anything, but they have the comfort of the internet's anonymity that that allows them to be a tough guy and demand something from the best coach LSU has ever had.

You people need to get away from my team because you are a cancer, not Les Miles. I don't want you around and I promise you the team doesn't want you around. We are an elite program and one man has been at the helm, while we had an undefeated season and will be a preseason #1 team.

It was one game. He sh*t the bed. Get over it or please stop calling yourself a fan and call yourself what you really are: a brat.
