And Patterson put up 350 and can run. Landsharks are going to rape us even though they can’t stop the run. We can’t run.
The more I see of other teams strengths, the more I’m convinced, there is 1 winnable game left on the schedule.

Yes they have a good team and we are going to kick their arse.
Of course the whole premise of your post depends on the fact that you are all knowing and can read the future which of course is fatuous.
With that philosophy, we would have to hire a new coach every year til infinity. If you are already ready to fire O, then we will never have another championship at LSU. If O isn't successful then all of you geniuses will claim you knew it all along when only a few 3-4 seasons have passed. Your impatience and bitching will not change the Tigers into a championship team.
You received multiple yeses for this post despite it's stupidity. The one big change I see is that LSU needs to get away from that mentality of having a Qb as a game manager. We need a great athlete back there who can run and throw and avoid the rush. That is the one glaring big change I wish they would come to the realization they have to make. They already know we need more horses in the trenches, but I'm not sure they realize a philosophical change is what is needed at QB.

That sentiment is still under review. I think before coming to a conclusion one way or another you have to let the man coach and recruit for more than one year, unless of course you were against the hire from the get go.

Classy post! Have a great season.

I concur. A very classy post. I welcome a guest fans comments and could do with fewer glib retorts.
What I would like is for all the Coach O detractors to look at this link. Maybe they could begin to appreciate him just a tad more. LOL

This is the best LSU has looked in years!
They looked very good.... no looking to the sideline before every offensive play... seemed to be zero confusion on offense like they had under the former coach.... team seemed to have a totally different focus and

And the scary part of your post is that they were looking to the sideline to Miles. They would have been better off looking to the opponents sidelines.
Mo Jeaux, are you giving any credit to O? He disciplining his team and still kicking arse but you are calling out people who compliment O? What's your problem?

I think you are looking at it wrong. We always had a good defense when Chavis was at LSU. Our offense was intermittent at best and towards the end of his stint at LSU the defense was always the stalwart of the the team. Unfortunately, you keep a good defense on the field long enough and it will start to crack ala Clemson vs Alabama.

Why would anyone be paying attention to someone with a longhorn picture next to their name?

On T White's performance Saturday by BilJa few idiots

I wouldn't say I was questioning his skill. I would question his judgement on punt returns. It makes me wonder if the coaches ever discuss punt return strategy with him or they just stick him back there and tell him to do what his natural proclivities tell him to do.

But Guice might.

Culotta politicking hard to get O the job by HMTVBrian2quote:Can you imagine his whine if Miles had been head coach for this game, and LSU accumulated 125 yards and was shut out again? Can you imagine what he would have said about the clock management before halftime? Culotta just isn't intellectually honest. You HAVE to just Orgeron with the same standard that you judged Miles. The fanbase would (rightly) be destroying Les if he trotted out that gameplan we saw on Saturday. Not sure why O gets a pass, but it is what it is.

Because Miles had 10 years to develop his DA offensive game plan and O has coached only his 4'th game as the tiger head man. So expecting someone to come up with a brand new offensive game plan with the same players in the middle of the season may really be the DA. :violin:

Crazy how fast people have just given up on him. Really stupid because you know what's gonna happen: he's gonna work his way back to being in the good graces of the staff and back to 1st team and everyone'll be back to supporting him

Yep, he's been a problem, but if he's still on the team it means Coach O hasn't given up on him. All the judgmental geniuses on this board are ready to give up on him before Coach O is tells me all I need to know about some of there SA posters here.

I generally agree with everything in your post. I just want to point out it's not easy beating the gumps. When I was a student way back from 70-73 we lost all the games we played against them. So lets pull like hell for the tigers and hope Pigs fly in tiger stadium Saturday night.
