Those are the type of games that made Les more and more stubbornly conservative. Add 2011 Game of the Century to that as well. After those, there was no convincing him that he needed to update the offense.

I'd argue that the 11-2-11 LSU/Bama game was a turning point for both Alabama and LSU programs. Bama/Saban decided they had to update the offense, went and hired modern OC's and came back with a different gameplan in the NC game, and never looked back. Miles went the other way and never changed, and slowly weakened the program until he was canned.

Had a championship team in 07 and loss to Ky and unranked Ark at home and it still took a 35 point upset of WV.

I'm sure we don't need to rehash the debacle of 2011.

Les took what Saban built and slowly let it dwindle away. Orgeron is building it back up.

Did miles get the most out of the talent he had?

Defense, special teams, fullback, tailback and parts of the oline. But not on QB and wide reciever.

Improvement on the QB and WRs (and scheme) would have made it much easier on those other positions, though.

Les running Hester up the middle on 4th down 5 times actually shows how unimaginative he was/is.

Hester (or any other RB) only touching the ball twice on 4th downs actually shows you didn’t even watch the game.

When we were 1 deep on the d line for 4 years. Or when DJ welter started at MLB bc we couldn’t sign more than one lb a fricking year leading up to that

Yes it is definitely making O...are you dumb?

Didn't you say prior to last year that "O will NEVER win a championship of any kind at LSU"

My once 40 year memory bank of LSU football is no longer capable to remember/recall anything prior to the perfection of 2019. I believe it is likely LSU will win another few titles before I leave this world but nothing will ever duplicate 2019.

For real though, that was an epic game and Les earned his paycheck that night.
He then pissed it all away on 01.09.2012

actually I constantly said O was a legit OC away from winning titles.

If he hires a legit OC he has the talent to make it to the mountain top.
He is a great recruiter and great motivator.
O may very well prove to be an upgrade of post 2011 miles but he has to have the win/loss numbers to back it up.

and the fact that no lsu team has take the field since last year and me losing 2 members of my immediate family.
losing 2 members of your family will all but stop you from arguing with people that don't know notre dame isn't in a p5 conference.

What was the reason we couldn't win, with all that talent?

Would you take the 2016 roster or the 2019 roster?

miles took over a program with 1 top 5 finish since 1987.
saban left miles in a great position but stop acting like he inherited a proven powerhouse.
2000 4 losses
2001 3 losses
2002 5 losses
2003 1 loss
2004 3 losses
