What the hell were you watching? I would take LF any day of the week and twice on Sundays

Watched him with the jags and there wasnt anything special about him. Was he worth a top 5 pick ? Hell no. Dude will be remembered maybe for his college career but that's about it. Some of you guys never take your purple and gold goggles off.

In three seasons with the Jags LF had 800 touches for 3,633 yards in 36 games. That's 100 yards per game for three seasons. He also touched the ball 800 times and had one turnover.

Are the Jags such a storied franchise that these numbers were just not good enough?

In fact, since 2017, LF has the 24th most scrimmage yards in the NFL, and ranks 13th among running backs during that time.

Stolen line from Cowboys RB.

Yep. I forget which RB, but I believe Tom Landry said it.

LF was only ever as good as his Oline.

Completely ignorant and incorrect statement. Fournette's problem is his weight. If he were to lean out his quickness and speed would come back and he could be a huge weapon. But right now hes just a big power back with good hands out of the backfield.

No LF was not terrible with the jags. His avg in the 3 years at jax was just a little under 4 yards. What was terrible was his attitude and him not being a team player which lead to his release. Time will decide on how he will be remembered as a player but around here he will be remembered for not being a team player.

Fournette is a straight ahead bruising runner. There is shake in his style. He could truck a lot of college players but not so much in the nfl. However he does get you tough yards when you need them.

I think he has bad vision when running the ball. He seems to just love running into the backs of his OL. Maybe its a play call thing, but I think its fair to say his tenure in the NFL has been underwhelming.

Henry has a Heisman. Fournette does not. But don't let bias get in the way of a narrative.
If the 2 switched teams, Fournette would have a Heisman. He was objectively the better college player. He was the Heisman favorite on LSU before the Bama game where he was hit behind the line of scrimmage every time he touched the ball.

Yeah funny thing with all these wonderful stats he provided he was never given another contract with Jax. Wonder why? Probably my second response which had to do with him being a selfish player. Please let me know how he has done in the league after all those amazing stats provided here in Jax? Oh yeah riding the Tom Brady coattails for a superbowl ring. Now do running back stats and remember he was a top five pick.

My old high school coach had a philosophy. 3 yards every play would win every time....LOL. Yeah, if you went for it on 4th and got 3 more yards.

I already did that.

Since he started in the NFL, he has the 13th most scrimmage yards from RB's, and the 10th most scrimmage yards per game.

Was he a better pick than some of the dudes he got picked ahead of in 2017? No. But the guy hasn't been a bust in the NFL.

You went from saying he wasn't any good to saying his attitude is bad. That may be true - but he's still a young guy and can churn some yards if needed.

Yeah Emmitt Smith never gets mentioned as one of the best RB talents even though he has more yards than any. He played behind one of the best OLs of all time is only reason. He was short, slow, and slow, of his rushing TDs 82% of them were 2yds or less- the most overrated RB of all time, and did I mention he was slow.

You're wrong about Emmitt. He consistently got more out of each carry than pretty much everyone. He didn't have those minus 5 or minus 7 yard carries either.

He didn't have top end speed like O.J., for instance, but he would juke guys that caught him most of the time. He was quick, he had agility, balance, power, determination and most of all he was a winner.

LF was good, except when Miles would run him against a stacked wall when LSU played Alabama.
