One of the best to ever do it at LSU. Top 5 in my book from a college and pro career. Maybe, top 3.

Yanks paid $90mil for 5.6 WAR. Lol

DJ has not been in great shape for years. And never could really hit on the road away from the offensie parks he played in.

Time sure flies. I never would have thought he was that old. Guess I just didn't realize that. Hope he saved his money.

As LSU fan, so proud of his career. As a die hard fanatic Yankee fan since Ron Guidry. Louisiana Lighting played. It's ABOUT TIme.

He's been horrible the last 3 years...3 years...not 3 weeks. I've wanted him gone for awhile...

22 million is a nice severance check.

There’s no way.

If he’s 37, that means I’m………

Joey Belle is probably closer to Cooperstown than LeMahieu

His batting avg still plays in this era.

All of this “advanced” analytic BS has absolutely trashed professional baseball.

As for DJ, it sounds like he mainly just has some nagging injuries he needs to rehab.

DJ can still give something to a team, just not the Yankees.

He’s a DH at this point, and the Yankees don’t have room for him with Stanton and Ben Rice.

Which WAR are you thinking MLB HoF voters use? Just trying to understand it and all the calcs behind it.
Present your calcs.

Pitchers versus position players?

I'm sure he could help some playoff team down the stretch.

Foot injuries. He's done. He can't really drive the ball anymore. He's hella limited in the field. Love the guy and was excited when NYY signed him, but he's done..

Not when it comes with only FIVE XBH on the year. His OPS, slg, & fielding ability don’t….or any other real metric….especially when you can’t play D.

Anybody saying otherwise hasn’t watched him play the last couple years. If a team were to look at him it would be to play 1B or DH. nobody is bringing him in to play 2 or 3. And you can’t have a bat like that in those positions on a contender
