When??

The FB blub says tonight at 10. And Fox 8 in New Orleans just teased it for 10 also.

I'm kind of confused that it is advertised on both WAFB and FOX8. Must be sister stations or doing a joint piece or something.

Why would someone in LA do a story like this. This will only hurt LSU.

Boy, that was much ado about nothing. Not much news there. Except that Alleva and one of the board members know who the leak is.

They were careful in their e-mails. I'm sure they knew they were subject to FOIA requests.

I don't know about being a leak but he definitely seemed to be kind of a spy or source of info for Alleva on the mindset of the team and how they were practicing/working out.

We need team clean sweep to get rid of this story.

We have been needing a clean sweep on the academic and the admins side for awhile now. This is just one of many f**k ups that LSU has committed since F. King Alexander has been at LSU.

It seems like he was doing his background work and homework to be ready to fire Miles and hire Fisher, but was ordered to stand down by the higher ups. However on the other hand LSU's athletic department handled his situations just about as bad as you can handle it and Alleva definitely deserves blame for that. Emails in link
So I don't know if Alleva should be thrown out or not.

F. King Alexander and the rest of the board needs to be thrown out. LSU also needs to become a state related university like Temple, Pitt, Penn State are in Pennsylvania. They give in state students a tuition discount in exchange for a state check, but they have their own boards and the state of Pennsylvania is not involved in any decisions.

quote:

The Commonwealth System of Higher Education is a statutory designation by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that confers "state-related" status on four universities located within the state. The designation establishes the schools as an "instrumentality of the commonwealth"[1] and provides each university with annual, non-preferred[2] financial appropriations in exchange offering tuition discounts to students that are residents of Pennsylvania and a minority state-representation on each school's board of trustees. Legally, however, the universities remain separate and private entities, operating under their own charters, governed by independent boards of trustees, and with its assets under their own ownership and control thereby retaining much of the freedom and individuality of private institutions, both administratively and academically.[3] It is the only public-private hybrid system of higher education in the United States that is so construed, although Cornell University, the University of Delaware, and Rutgers University[4] represent alternative types of public-private university hybrids.

Someone should investigate Lee Zurik. Dig up any possible dirt and publish it.

Only a matter of time. That guy has thrown dirt in so many peoples faces. I was talking about this the other day. One day he's going to cross the wrong politician and end up in a ditch or something.

LSU is a public institution and, by law, has to provide the public with the requested info.

it's a crying shame that the truth didn't support all of the "mystical" seers on this board.

Jesus Christ. LSU would have been better off just letting Miles go and moving on from this bullshite. Now we are pulling the band aid off 1 hair at a time.

this is the most incredible statement I've ever read on this board and that's saying a lot.

this "fire everybody" sentiment about a football coach is the dumbest thing ever and would severely damage LSU as an academic institution.

and your statement about LSU not being a state related university and doesn't give in state student discouts is ignorant. guess what? LSU charges more for out of state students and out of state students are not eligible for the in state scholarship based on grades. and wow, LSU also has it's own board. I guess facts kinda get in the way sometimes.

fire everybody, fire everybody, fire everybody!!!

We need this BS right in the heart of recruiting season? Really? What is the point? This will do nothing but put LSU in a bad light when we already know how screwed up this all was & who was responsible. Time to move on.

They need to just let it go.

Doing investigations helps no one and hurts the programs.

The decision had been made. Time to move on.

What was the holdup on Jimbo? I don't remember Alexander saying anything about Jimbo.
