Leavitt and Clark in at the same time

Just a thought:
Since we've seen so many direct snaps to running backs. Plus, Sam being less than 100%. Is there a chance of seeing both Sam and Landen in the backfield, side-by-side, at the same time? Adds an interesting wrinkle I think. Both can pass, both can take off, both can read the defense together. Im not suggesting the entire game. But, 4 or 5 plays?

Or…..and hear me out. Or….. we can just let the best offensive coaches in the country decide the plays?

We should run the Notre Dame box with all our QBs.

Go triple option. Leavitt at QB, Geralds at Fullback and Clark at running back. Now we're having fun.

The Double-Pass offense is the future

ULM did this about 10 or so years ago, I believe when they played RGIII in Monroe. There were some interesting plays with jet sweeps to a QB and him having the option to throw it or running an option with the added possibility of the pitch man throwing it. Don't know or think it would work against better competition.

Please next time you have one of these brilliant ideas, keep it as just a thought ....

Baltimore did it a while back. Called it the heisman backfield
RGIII
Mark Ingram
Lamar Jackson
However… these threads are gay. To the OP… okay - let’s say they’re both back there. What are you gonna do??

How about we put all 4 qbs on the field together? Defense will never see it coming lmao…

Utah did it against Arkansas, that’s about as high of level of talent that it would work against consistently lol

SEC defenses are too fast for the offense to hand off and then to pass. Sam already has happy feet and won’t stay in the pocket.

Charlie Mac did it for a series or two vs Ole Miss in 1978 with Ensminger and David Woodley.

Way too many. I do think we’ll see it, though. May already have if Sam was 100%. But I’m just talking about the formation. It will probably be some basic play. BUT, put the formation on film just once, and other teams will have to anticipate and prepare for what we might do out of it. Even if it’s just 10 minutes a week, that’s 10 minutes they’re not working on something else.
I think we kind of underestimate how much Lane does that. That’s one of the benefits of running so many plays each game. He likes to put different things on film to make teams prepare for a ton of stuff. Sometime for plays we don’t even have. But are possible out of some of our formations.
There’s a reason Longstreet has been returning punts, and it ain’t because he’s our 2nd best punt returner. And it’s why, when asked about it, Lane said “we like to think outside the box.” Which will make coaches ask themselves, “what did he mean by that?” And spend time thinking about what we could do with him back there. Throw a lateral across the field? Spot the ball and go right into our offense without letting them sub out of their punt team? Lane may have absolutely nothing drawn up like that. But getting the other team to spend time thinking we do is a win in and of itself.

That makes sense. However, you do realize that over the years many (or at least a few) of the best ideas have come from ranter NATION! I will support that play - maybe throw in the triple option for icing on the cake. As long as it works!

both can take off,
The advantage of QB run is that you get true 11 on 11. You lose that because you're not gonna have one of these guys blocking.
Just giving you a football reason as to why this is a stupid idea.
