I see a ton of threads started about this and you have to wonder if LSU is even concerned about fixing it. It’s been going on for decades now. Most people say it’s because of traffic. If so, is there no way to fix that issue. Could they give incentives to get people to stay? Maybe do some give aways that you must be present to win throughout the 3rd and 4rth quarters with the prizes getting bigger the closer it gets to the end? Maybe have the final prize at the very end be season tickets for next year?

That is of course if LSU even cares about the fans leaving.

A lot of people left early. Traffic was still terrible after the game.

That's why I always go to Rouls post game. I have a juicy juicy and usually by the time I get back to the car, traffic is non existent or much more bearable

I honestly don’t believe LSU cares about people leaving. They have the money regardless if people are in the seats or not so why should they care? They’ve done nothing to solve the issue.

So maybe it’s time to move on from this complaint. If LSU isn’t going to do anything to fix it, they obviously don’t care.

LSU is becoming the SEC’s version of Miami back in their heyday.

They did a sellout once every other year against Florida State. Same with LSU. Sell out the stadium and stay the entire game every other year for Alabama.

They get the money for the tickets. That seems to be the priority. They clearly aren't concerned about all the bitching about concessions either. The people leaving for whatever reason are not gonna stay for a possible prize. To me, the prize of staying is the complete experience and taking in the whole game. But I don't get to games often. People aren't as sentimental as their previous generation.

I mean, yes and no. It’s just with every game on television in high definition with 80 + inch screens and surround sound, etc etc…. For the average fan, it’s almost better to just be at home.

They were up 20-7. I get the complaints, but it’s not like it was going to be that exciting of a 2nd half.
Student section was overfilled & many had to stand during the 1st half, so I understand why they would leave. For the rest of the stadium, who wants to hang around & spend $40 on poor concessions & expensive beer?

So you’re saying people should stop bitching about it? (I tend to agree because I honestly don’t think anything can be done to fix it. I think it’s more about how technology has made the experience at home almost as good so fans are not as rabid at actual games as they once were).

People have left blowouts since the beginning of time. You think the people of Rome stayed to watch the bears gnaw on bones?

I left with 6 minutes left in 4th when we went up 41-17. Rode my bike to my car parked in the lot down from alex box and got home in 20 minutes. I'm sure if I had stayed entire game that would have been a different experience. My complaint was coming in to park they only had one lot on South side open so cars had to sit in line to all get into the same lot. River road levee lots were blocked off. WTF? Why not just have multiple lots open for parking? Ridiculous!

People leave for a variety of reasons. I don't understand why they pay so much money for tickets, come in and take a couple of pictures and then they leave for the next thing. I go, I stay, I enjoy. I also never eat in the stadium. I get a coke, maybe some peanuts and enjoy the game.

Are the Covid fan cutouts in storage that they could go put out as the stadium empties?

The north and south endzones were full and seemed to remain full. In my opinion its the 100's that is killing Tiger Stadium. If tickets are not being used those ticket owners should lose the rights. There are plenty of fathers who would love to take their sons to a game that simply can't afford it. If you're going to buy corporate tickets and crazy amounts and let them go to waste, give them to a fan who wants to go. It's a bad look for that many empty seats on that side of the field.

No, there definitely is a way to fix traffic, but that would require LSU to spend more money on police/transportation services/cut off access to specific roads that they do not want to spend money on.

They will get their money from the tickets already.
