We won't know for a bit. Possibly till summer. The word is out that out Dline and DB's will reload, but that we need immediate new bodies at LB.

Our O will be in good shape. Not historic level, but top third of SEC.

It's all gonna come down to getting a few transfers who want to play on the big stage.

Oh, where did you hear that? I mean we don't even have a DC right now?

No it fricking won’t. We can’t take a “few” if we wanted to and our linebackers are still stacked. Some of you fans just look for random shite to worry about.

Yes let’s just open up that transfer portal and pick out a few all sec linebackers floating around.

I mean most of our younger linebackers has had experience all season. I’m not really worried about it. They are studs. We always reload. We won a national championship! Stop worrying about this. I hate party poopers man.

I wouldn’t be against a grad transfer LB. I think that may be a position of concern going into next year. Can’t hurt to take one

Dylan Moses could prob get a waiver to be closer to home. Imagine the melt over there.

Sooners LB Levi Draper enters the portal

quote:

A four-star member of Oklahoma’s 2017 recruiting class, Draper was rated as the No. 5 inside linebacker in the country and the No. 2 player at any position in the state of Oklahoma. On the 247Sports.com composite, he was the No. 118 prospect overall. Only three signees in the Sooners’ class that year were rated higher than Draper. Injuries helped lead to Draper take a redshirt as a true freshman. The past two seasons, Draper played in 28 games. Most of that action came on special teams.

Couldn’t hurt for depth and on special teams

Laugh and downvote. But tell me 1) you don't think that a couple of big time LB's, amongst 100+ CFB teams in the land, will not take a strong look at LSU being a great landing spot for playing time,2) that circa 2020 LB does not demand experienced and cerebral LBers, and 3) That you are not concerned that we just lost 4 talented/experienced LBers.

Better look in the mirror and downvote your own self.

Stop being infatuated with the transfer portal. It's mostly filled with mediocre players and guys who won't even be eligible to play next year. The chance of getting a guy who is immediately eligible and makes a difference is rare.

And before people jump in, Joe Burrow was not in the transfer portal. He was a graduate transfer. Entirely different situation and even more rare as a difference maker.

Jalen Hurts had been the SEC player of the year as a freshman and was immediately eligible. Think we get one of those? Stop being silly, girls.

BTW I agree with you. With a position like LB even if they aren't starting if they're worth their salt they're getting some PT and not transferring

Ah, I see what you're saying. Sorry for being so snippy. I think too many people see the transfer portal as a fix. For the most part, I would rather take a high school player and develop him unless there is that one missing piece and we find a great fit.
