Hate to say it, but it’s completely baffling that we are weak at 3 starting oline positions and don’t have 1 backup at any position on the line that has shown himself to be ready to step up to an SEC backup level. Chester probably backup for every position before injury at center, outside of the two we have switching back and forth at left guard.

Dont ask me why this coaching staff continues to run Chester’s arse out there knowing what’s going to happen when they’ve got Curne right there who they’ve been absolutely raving about all fall camp

Well as one of the dozens of highly regarded OL coaches in this thread tell us about what you saw in spring and fall practice. Also fill us in on the coaches staff meetings and game plan meetings you were in. Tell us what you saw in the offense staff video review meetings they have weekly that you attended. Tell us the coaches know that Chester stinks and Curne is and all world center but just refuse to play him because they want to lose games. Tell us how you implored BK and Davis to play Curne in the meetings. Wow if they fired Davis and hired you we would average 200 yrs rushing a ffane and TD would be healthy

Well coach?

I see where you're coming from and usually I would agree but this criticism is concern if not outright panic. What I saw Saturday is troubling. I can't remember the last time I saw a LSU O lineman in the backfield that much. Every snap he was being driven back. And this was against Tech. What the hell is going to happen when he faces off against some of these SEC freaks of nature? How does an offense operate with a Center posted up in the backfield moments after the snap?

I hope you're right and he'll be fine but I've seen nothing to indicate that would be the case. I'm not going to try to cope and pump sunshine on this one. This is bad.

Hey Old Time, did you create this account just to defend poor ole DJ?

Kid needs to get real real soon or needs an exit strategy.

I agree with the OP that we should be careful about going off the cliff on a player, a course of action of which I have been guilty of. It's Ok to point out mistakes and bad games, but we shouldn't crucify young men who are football players.

It's still just a game.

It’s not just a game anymore, it’s a business and they are being compensated exponentially more than the average fan.

Some of the blame is a bit misplaced. His PFF grade was pretty decent.

Someone told me this morning he graded out best of all our o-lineman for the game. Is that correct?
