re: Lawsuit against the State of Louisiana is a brilliant move by CBK and his attorneys

BOS and State of Louisiana are one and the same, see above.
Yes, but that doesn’t mean there was any active decision to sue “the state.” He sued the counterparty to his contract. That was my point.

If he gets a judgement it will not be paid until the Louisiana Legislature passes an appropriation bill. There is currently 100s of millions of unpaid judgements
As I pointed out a couple of posts above, he’s not asking for a monetary judgement right now and it’s extremely unlikely it would come to that (LSU would have to decide they weren’t going to pay even though he was fired without cause, which would be really stupid in the middle of a coaching search).

Contrarily, LSU could expose BK for the drunk and adulterer he is. Let’s see who folds first.
There will be discovery in this case. Funny how his drunkenness and adultery didn’t come out until after LSU was boat-raced by A&M.
And apparently still didn’t know how to fire him.

No one came forward until then! Honest!
We thought he was an upstanding guy but here we are your honor

The Judge/court is not going to dictate the $ must come from Louisiana taxpayers. This is also just going to ensure this gets settled most likely with NDAs.
If he sued the state of Louisiana, it will come from the taxpayers. This move by CBK's attorneys, isn't about getting $54M, but it is to force LSU to come to a number both parties can live with. This situation has already been very embarrassing for LSU and the entire state.
First, you have a governor run his mouth about the current AD not picking the next HC, which clearly means Woodward is going to be fired! Even if he was involved behind the scenes, he should have kept his mouth shut. Now, it's come out that it's all political and he wanted to get rid of Woodward, who is a Democrat, because he refused to rehire Will Wade, which is what the governor wanted. Terrible look for the state of Louisiana.
Next, LSU hired a new president that names Ausberry the new AD, but then takes it back, only to stay he was the current AD! Embarrassing for LSU!
Suddenly, after Woodward fired Kelly and the university put out a press release about the firing, a week later says Woodward didn't have the power to fire Kelly. Of course, LSU didn't complain when Woodward fired WW, but now there's a problem! Embarrassing!
Then, after being unable to reach a settlement both parties could agree on, now LSU is saying they firing him with cause and here we are!
I agree they will reach a settlement before it goes to court, but LSU and the State of Louisiana have no one to blame, except themselves. They look like a bunch of DAs drunk on moonshine and angry because they didn't get their ways!
The longer this drags on, the more embarrassing it will be for LSU and the State of Louisiana. Maybe next time, LSU will think twice before signing a coach to a guaranteed contract that also includes a ridiculous buyout!

The longer it drags out the worse for LSU, I agree on that comment. But if LSU loses, a booster steps in and pays and makes this go away. But there is absolutely zero chance this goes to court. Every big money LSU booster knows we can't let this drag on more than a week or so. This is wrapped up before Western Kentucky. Or its doomsday.

So is CBK? Is just BK

But that lazy arse to work sweeping the halls and cleaning the parking lot! Make him work 40hrs a week doing menial labor outside! He didn’t work 40hrs a week during his time here so make him show up every day for 5.5hrs and no days off he’s on salary!

The contract is between Kelly and the State. Kelly had no choice as to the party to sue. He has no remedies available from an entity that’s not party to the contract.

Last time I checked he was still a coach. Just like when Saban retired, he is still called Coach Saban.
CBK is the winningest active coach in college football, so I think he's earned the title CBK.

Who is he actively coaching?

True but everyone knows what a piece of shite he is already

Over the next 6 years if LSU doesn’t miss a payment Kelly can’t sue for anything.

Well…..actually, he can.

Good.
Let Kelly win his case against the State of Louisiana and that will save us more money for NIL and the next coach.

Good luck collecting if you win

It's never going to make it to court because that would not be good for LSU. Like it nor not, LSU is a brand name and worth millions and it has to protect it. Up to this point, the entire state of Louisiana, and particularly LSU, look like a bunch of clowns starting with the governor's big mouth, the new president and the AD situation and LSU now saying Woodward didn't have the authority to fire Kelly, even though the university sent out a press release stating he had been terminated.
The quicker LSU can remedy this situation, the quicker it can move on and put this nightmare behind them.
