I'd like to see JD5 #1 to Bears and then Nabors 8th to Bears...

Daniels is the prototypical, "He can hit a receiver in the hands with the ball 50 yards down field. If the receiver isn't open, he can run 50 yards downfield and hand it to him."

Didn’t the Giants win just as many SB as Pitt and KC (so far)

Like Cincinnati? The Texans this year?

Bears need to take Jayden and Nabers. It makes too much sense for a shitty drafting franchise, though

Hope Texans sneak in and grab BTJ for Stroud.

Why is Daniels not a great passing prospect. He can throw it deep, shows he goes through progressions, highly accurate, and he can clearly move around the pocket/extend plays?

I don’t get it. He can put on a little more muscle, but he is tall with a big frame.

Who said he’s not. The mock says “best deep ball passer “in the draft

Giants haven't been relevant on a annually or even bi-annualy basis since 2012. After 12 years of irrelevance, being called a shitty franchise, is warranted at least a bit. I mean look at the Cowboys. They look good this year, but have won 2 playoff games since the 90s. This is a franchise loaded with super bowls and all time greats.

Did he not say, "almost always"? Do you understand the meaning of that? Also, how many times do those teams draft in the top five? The Giants have drafted in the top 6 in 4 of the last 6 years and still look a mess. The Texans had back to back top 5 drafts and killed it. The last time they picked even inside the top 10 was 2014 with Clowney #1 overall.

Same with Bengals. Bengals got back to back top 5 draft picks, and killed it (Burrow, Chase). The last time they had gotten a top 5 pick before that (hell, top 8 pick) was when they got AJ Green in 2011 and picked up Andy Dalton in the second round.

Excluding the current year, the Giants have 8 losing seasons in the past 10 years.

Excluding the current year, and prior to the last 3 losing seasons, The Texans had 7 of 9 winning seasons. Even if you include the past 3 losing seasons as part of a 10 year window, the Texans have 5 winning seasons in the past 10 years.

The Bengals, prior to Burrow, had a terrible 4 year losing skid, similar to the Texans pre Stroud. However, before that skid, they had 5 of 7 years with 10+ wins and 6 of those 7 years they had winning records. So the prior 10 years before Burrow, they had 5 winning seasons. I mean they went 5 years straight without a losing record.

Any way you slice it, it makes perfect sense why the Giants can be seen as shitty and the Texans and Bengals could be perceived as, in a rut.

If we're talking places he could go with immediate advantages and 75% sure will be looking for a QB, i'd say

Raiders (they have weapons and could get one more at WR)
Falcons (they are loaded offensively. I'm not a Saints fan, so if they decide to go for a QB, i'd be ecstatic if he goes here)
Saints (they have pieces on offense, but they just look so iffy. Will they keep Carr because they paid for him?)
Seahawks (my favorite destination. He has a roster and a coach that could utilize him effectively the quickest of anybody else. Let him sit a year behind Geno Smith, and you have the next great offense)
Rams (could replace Stafford in a year and they also have the team and style of offense he can generate big plays in)
Bucks (wouldn't be my pick. Have heard about them wanting to let go of an amazing productive WR in Mike Evans becsuse they don't want to pay. They hold no value outside of their WR group).

And the 7 years before that that made the playoffs 5 time and won 2 SB. They have struggled at QB since the end of Eli’s tenure. Historically they’ve had success, that’s not about “living in the past” but ownership that doesn’t run things on the cheap and screw things up.

As for the Cowboys, their owner does screw things up since he’s also the GM, while I think the hurts their chances of getting back to the Super Bowl, In the last 20 years they have only had 4 losing seasons and 8 with double digit wins. I would not count that as a shitty franchise.

The Bengals have been notoriously cheap. That’s what made them a shitty franchise. They had some decent seasons with Lewis but never got past the WC round I would argue because they’ve been cheap. 30 years with no playoff wins is not a rut

The Texans founder Bob McNair died in 2018. Under his son Cal they were a complete shite show through 2022. They had 2 coaches in a row they fired after 1 year. It appears(fingers crossed) that Cal’s mom and wife got him to straighten out and hired a good GM and coach and then they landed a franchise QB.

The point you are missing is both teams landed franchise QBs and were able to win quickly. IMO the same could happen with the Giants.

The Raiders are a franchise I’d hate to see someone I liked get drafted by. Carolina’s owner is looking like to as well. Washington was under Synder maybe that will change with new owners

No it doesn't. It just shows how unpredictable giving an "opinion" based on past performance.
Look at all the five star prospects than never see the field.

First round draft picks that never start or last more than one season.
Does JR come to mind.
What about Shepherd at LSU. Never did excel until he went to the NFL and changed coaches.

There was a 1st round pick, Green Bay, Rogers replacement, that was outplayed by an un-drafted free agent. First undrafted rookie QB in NFL history to win three straight starts without an interception.
shite happens!
