It works if the QB doesn't properly use his eyes. It's one of the reasons this LSU offense is so ridiculous. Burrow has a true progression that's based more on positioning of the defense then whether a WR is "open".

It's the same progression the Saints use. If you get "x" look then your progression should be "1,2,3". If you get "y" look then your progression goes to "3,2,1".

I think you'll see the opposite. Rather than running bunch sets to try and shake loose and confuse bracket coverage, I expect LSU will go empty and spread them out to try and force Clemson to declare its intention early.

This. We'll line CEH up next to Joe in shotgun and motion him out to try and get Clemson to commit. If they try to disguise their coverage still, Joe is gonna absolutely filet them.

Muh class act virtue signaling pussy. You must be such an awesome human being IRL because you sit on TD defending opposing players who you’ve never met and will never know on a personal level well enough to make strong statements about their character. Like shut the frick up already

That might work, but Joey B will probably just run it down their throat if they try that.

with all eyes on the QB. No, that ain’t how that works

Then switching to "Eyes on the QB" (Zone) the instant the ball was snapped.

Was very effective.

Going to be more difficult to show man when we pull CEH and Moss out wide. I'd like to see Clemson's middle defenders follow them out there and then try to hustle back to their zone.

Good point and last year I am sure that was very effective with their pass rush not giving the QB much time to decide, but I think the combo of Joe and their D-line will make that less effective this year. I could be wrong though

That’s why we motion so much. Can’t keep the look of man if zone is called when you motion

Burrow doesn't rely solely on his pre snap read like tua does. That's the main reason for his success this year. He's insanely good at recognizing coverages after the snap and going through his progressions while also having an insane sense of pressure in the pocket and how much time he has before he needs to bail.

Good thing Burrow is better than Tua
Tua was almost exclusively using pre-snap reads at that point. It burned him.

Don't worry your little heads about the details...Saban had two weeks to prepare for us and we hung 46 on him. Veneables doesn't have access to any more secrets to stopping us than Saban did! Personel wise, to my eyes, Clemson isn't any better than Bama and probably a step down from Georgia.

What I’m leaning on in my thinking is our coaching, mainly Brady, there’s is nothing he hasn’t seen. The worst NFL defense is lightyears ahead of anything you’ll see in college, scheme or skill. I’m confident that he will find the weakness and confident that he has coached Burrow up on any scenario he might encounter. Disguising/faking coverage is the norm on the next level, which is where Brady was just last year.

Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t know I was supposed to make up BS and talk bad about a player just because they play for another team.

Does your pussy hurt because Tua played for meanie head Saban and Alabama?

he very rarely is just “throwing to a spot”

That first INT by Tua was completely just him throwing to a spot. The second INT he threw was just a bad overthrow.

Joey Football doesnt throw to spots and he doesnt make horrible throws like Tua
