Going into the season I think most reasonable fans expected around a 7 win team give or take a game. This is the least talented team lsu has had in decades. The coaching staff and players did a hell of a job getting this team to the sec championship because on paper they shouldn’t have been there.

None of us expected a sec championship appearance. So while we are disappointed about the result of last night just remember the realistic expectations based off this roster.

And give this coaching staff a round of applause because they have done something very few coaching staffs in this country could do.

Georgia is the best team in the country. LSU could pull off an upset but if they lose there is no reason to trash these players or coaches.

I was not a fan of the Kelly hire and he has made me take a complete 180 with the work he’s done.

Careful. The misery police Gings/Burke/Engineer/etc will be here soon to confiscate your perspective.

Oops. Too late.

Yep, we were never a playoff-caliber team, and I think the rankings just blinded a lot of people to that fact.

Once we took the lead in the West, the committee slotted us where they did, based on conference prestige. Not on whether this team was believed that strong, but because it was going to Atlanta.

A lot of fans, rather than enjoying the run and being ecstatic about the upset over Bama, got visions of a 2019 repeat in their minds, and now are angry and pissed. Objectively, they shouldn't be, because the team was playing over it's head at the time.
I'm disappointed that we lost to A&M, but not shocked. That was a talented team trying to salvage some self-respect, at home in a primetime game... and we're just not at a level where we can go in and smack them down. We could have won had things gone differently, but we were never going to blow them out.

I'm looking forward to next season, but I think we're still a couple years away from being a dominant machine again. Still, we beat Bama, Florida and Auburn, swept the Mississippi teams, and beat a fired-up Arkansas team on their home field. It was a MUCH better year than our past 2.

Contrary to what most on the board are feeling this morning, I'm completely happy with the way the season turned out. I hate the loss last nigh, but in the grand scheme of things we can STILL win the SEC. Even if we don't do that, I'm good with winning 9-10 games and going to a bowl, this time around. IN fact, I'm hoping if we don't make the Sugar Bowl, that we're in one of the Florida bowls. I can make it down there a lot easier than Texas.

I’m as pissed as the next person about the outcome last night, and to the Faggies of all damn teams…those weirdos are already making rings or having a banner designed. However, this year has been a ton of fun, and unlike the “winner” of last nights game, the Tigers have a SECCG to prepare for. Kudos to our players and coaching staff for not taking no for an answer and not allowing outside predictions and noise determining their season for them. GDT’s.

Agree with you totally . CBK has the kind of personality that he will not quit till he gets the job done . The future for LSU is very bright !

Totally, agree. I never expected this far this season for them. I will be routing for a win at the SECCG, and for whatever bowl we get.
Hopefully, this reinforces the returning players and excites the future prospects and what is yet to come. Geaux Tigers!!!

I agree, but I am still in pain. I'll get over it eventually. I think if we were having the poor season we expected, losing to Jimbo would not be as distasteful as it is right now. BUT GEAUX TIGERS!!

Honestly the Bama win was my Christmas present. Playing in the SEC championship is an unbelievable bonus. This teams has developed tremendously but has not been consistent. Life on top is hard. Losses happen. Just ask Bama.

I went into the season expecting us to win some games we shouldn't and lose some games we shouldn't. Unfortunately, last night was one that we shouldn't lose. Logical people knew this wouldn't be a quick fix. We obviously have a long way to go but we definitely made good strides.

Nobody is saying that. But at the end of the day this team far outperformed their talent level and expectations. So while that loss really sucked, I can look at this season as a success.
