What will we really miss:
Jefferson won games ugly, Lee saved two of them at least
Shepard never has put up huge numbers and way too many drops, Beckham with hands may do just fine and I think James Wright will be the breakout player on offense
Dworazyck was good but did you see Jeremy Hill run behind Collins last year, Collins will improve running game

I have no doubt Collins will be good (maybe great), but he was blocking other high school kids last year. Saturday will be different from what he's used to blocking.

Magee will get at least 5 carries IMO
I would be shocked he gets this many touches unless LSU is up big in the 4th quarter and we are trying to kill the clock (I don't see this scenario playing out).
Ware, Ford, and Blue will see the field before Magee on Saturday.

Go ahead and underestimate how good Magee is.
You will be pleasantly surprised

I am sure hoping all these freshman live up to your hype.

Miles and co. were telling recruits that this class would win AT LEAST one national championship, and I believe them

Of all the players you listed freak will be the one to worry least about. He'll be a starter my mid season.

Freak- maybe not a ton of time, but I'm sure he will get in the rotation on the D line
Ton of time

I'm not underestimating him. A high school coach who coached against Magee told me he's the best player he's ever seen in person. He added that Hill and Hilliard aren't close to having his abilities.
I think for the first game Miles will give Ware, Ford, and Blue (all SEC caliber backs) all of the carries. Like I said earlier, the amount of times we run the ball will depend on how the game plays out. I could see Miles trying to eat clock and limit Oregon's possessions. In that case, Magee may get his touches.

I agree on Ware, Ford, and Blue; but also believe Magee will get his touches. By all accounts, he has been dynamite in camp and could be ahead of Ford on the depth chart.

This does not worry me at all. It looks like Freak Johnson will start at DT, since Downs is injured as usual. This lets potential future recruits know that if they are good enough, they will get a chance as true frosh--I think it helps recruiting.

Freak and Collins are the ones im not worried about
at WR, people dont seem to realize how hard it is to step in and play as a FR at a place like LSU. Just about all the great ones in the last 10 years were eased in, save Micahel Clayton.
It is asking a lot for a FR to step in and be our #2 or even #3 WR in the first game against a great team.

That was my point when I was arguing about Jarvis Landry and his supposed "immediate freshman impact and starting."
People just forget that James Wright and Kadron Boone got on the field as true freshmen. It wasn't because they sucked.

Remember when Les was criticized for NOT playing freshmen, since they were deemed by this board to be better than the juniors and seniors ahead of them?
Come on man we got new stuff to bitch about now

You dont hav to worry abuJarvis catching the ball he may mess up a play or something but he will catch whatever you throw at him.

lets see, now we are saying that collins, odb, magee, landry will all have an impact on offense. that a lot of true freshman 1)playing in first collegiate game 2) playing top 5 team in country 3)playing on a talent loaded team in lsu. just saying.
ps. last year a few freshman "eventuallY" has impact but not in first game and they were defensive players that had "MUCH BETTER COACHING"

Are you trying to say that these players will not play a significant amount Saturday, or that they will play but not do well?
