Orgeron may, and probably will ride LSU into a ditch, but Kiffin’s been in many more ditches.

This is fair. Hopefully it doesn't come to needing a new coach, but I tend to agree that we can do better than Kiffen.

The same people who shite on Orgeron years ago are the same ones who praise him now and are shitting on Kiffin. Guaranteed.

They're also conveniently ignoring the fact that Kiffin and Orgeron are boys. That Orgeron was Kiffin's recruiting coordinator. That Orgeron wanted to hire Kiffin as our OC.

But yeah, let's ridicule the one who actually has a winning record as a college head coach. He's the one who sucks.

Same goes for the current head coach. But, he has a lot of supporters it seems.

No one wanted Orgeron either..NO ONE (at least those registered on TD 3-4 years ago)

You’ll see people here turn their attitude if Kiffin became the coach at LSU...followed by 2,000 new accounts who “support” Kiffin.

Hopefully we won’t need a new coach and LSU succeeds with what we have.
OR we have a new AD and an actual search is done to get the hottest name on the market.

The season can’t start soon enough.

Kiffin has MANY more examples of fricking up than holding on, much less leading.

Speaking of leading, remember that time Orgeron quit on his players and sat at home for a year because USC didn't give him what he wanted?

Damn you are one obsessed fricker so worried someone will like Orgeron

Leaving Orgeron out of this, Kiffin hasn't shown the ability to hold a job, much less lead a P5 program.

But Orgeron bears relevance in this conversation because I know people in this thread have the opinion that he can be successful.

If one wants to say neither can be any good I'd be good with that. But I cannot pretend that I don't know that some of you believe in Orgeron. It makes the disapproval of Kiffin all the more baffling.

Over any coach of my choosing? No.

Over Orgeron? In a heartbeat.

I think today that’s fair. I think most with any sense would agree with you.

He's like the anti-Spurrier in that he started off failing in the pros. By year 6 of his college HC career Spurrier was finishing his 3rd straight top 10 season after building up Duke. Kiffin's results are much murkier. He does talk lots of shite though.

You make some good points. However if you look at the age and when spurrier began to achieve those things I believe you will find that Lane is that age now 43. Lane started as a HC in his early 30s. Today Lane Kiffin has the years behind him and has accomplished way more than Steve spurrier has when he started his college head coaching career at Duke at the ripe old age of .... 43.

Whoever hires Kiffin will dominate and be getting the next spurrier , Saban , Meyer.

Unlike those three he comes with Some baggage and it will take a very comfortable AD to hire him and a certain contract that keeps him toned down a bit.

So what's your explanation of Jimbo's recruiting success thus far at A&M?

What does that accomplish???

Why not hire someone that can keep a job? Someone that wasn't relieved by Orgeron?

Second chances. Why do resumes matter? That was a long time ago.

Dave Aranda is going to be the next head coach at LSU whether we like it or not. Get used to it.

You mean 4th?

Kiffin is perfect at Florida Atlantic where they'll accept his childish ways and a winning season, and be thrilled. I'd much prefer LSU throw money at Bob Stoops
