Yes, Lane did say O is doing better now. But the word "hospital" was mentioned, yes.

He also said it was "scary"

I'm going to guess it was heart related

Media should know by now not to ask him about strategy. He's not gonna answer anything about that

One of those was hilarious

How are you going to defend Chambliss with what you know after coaching him?

Did that person actually expect to get an answer?

They don't but they also have to ask the questions

Sometimes it leads to coaches giving answers you don't expect

Lane has always said nice things about Pete, but I’ve never heard him open up quite like that. Was VERY complimentary of Pete both from a coaching and personal perspective.

I’m fascinated thinking how Ole Miss really feels about him. Deep down Pete can’t have animosity about Lane leaving, it directly fast tracked his career and gave him a huge raise. Also with the crazy roster turnover this type of thing I feel just has less of an impact on the actual teams. Same for Chambliss, can he hold that much animosity about those coaches who were the ones who gave him his shot. If not for Lane, Charlie and Billy, he would have been at Temple last year.

I think the tension is WAY more about the fanbase.

There was a video of Coach O walking into the stadium from. Victory Hill and he looked like shite with his arms locked at like a 45° angle and hunched over.

About Pete?

Ole Miss fans are trying to convince themselves he is great. They are hoping that is the case. But inside they know the sum of all of their fears could manifest this Saturday. No different really than when Saban went to Alabama. The concern for LSU fans was that Saban was going to make Alabama into a championship power to compete (and maybe beat) LSU. That fear was quickly realized within 2-3 years. At any other school and at any other time in LSU history Les would have been revered as the greatest coach in school history. Instead, his legacy is within the context of "he couldn't routinely beat Saban"

Lane says pressure is on Ole Miss...they are the ones with second longest home winning streak, returning two Heisman candidates, coming off a great season (13 wins) versus LSU's 7-6.

I agree with this. They are the home team with their experienced QB back. Hopefully, we play like there is no pressure on us. Lane will take the heat all week to keep it away from the players. Remember guys, you can't feel the pressure if you're always applying it. Get after their arse for 4 quarters.

I do appreciate all the subtle “Trinidad is older than currently allowed” comments
