Pretty sure his number was immediately retired. We don’t do that here, the OPs comparison and implication are stupid and reflective of him more than anything else.

Of course not. USC retires Heisman numbers. That is their tradition/rule. When USC "unretired" the number due to NCAA sanctions (coincidentally the year Kiffin started at USC, the athletic department still unofficially retired it.
