BK didn’t have baggage. That worked out well.

Baggage doesn’t mean shite. Sack up Ralph.

it is funny how NCAA fans will turn on a dime if its their school.

This board couldnt stand him until it was rumored he would come here.

Every move LK made was a move up the ladder. From Tenn to USC at the time a great program ,a move up. From OC at Alabama to aHC job in Fla.a move up.From Fla school to HC in the SEC OM,a move up.From HC at OM to a top 4 job in the country LSU a move up.Hes at the best job he has had where he gets to run HIS PROGRAM AND CONTROL HIS OWN DESTINY.It won’t get any better for him than that. Some people are just not thinking through why he made these moves or have never had too make the kind of decisions like he has in his career.Do any of you have goals and aspirations in your lives ,do you know what his were or do you just want to criticize.

Lane brought our mojo back. We have never been more back. Chill and enjoy the ride.

Wow, this is newfound territory even for this board. Usually, we has to lose at least two games before the pitchforks come out.

Opinions like the OP's show:

1. just how easily many people are swayed by the media/public opinion, and

2. how lazy many are by neglecting to conduct any semblance of critical thinking about just about anything.

Essentially, the "baggage" is that fans of Tennessee and Ole Miss were furious that he left their favorite school for other jobs. The flip side of that is that he performed well enough to have what were/are generally considered more powerful program interesting in hiring him. Kiffin doesn't come to LSU with a history of leaving NCAA sanctions at his prior school. He doesn't come with legal baggage. The only thing he comes to LSU with is a recent history of leading a conference competitor to the most consistent period of success it experienced in over 60 years.

So he has (or at least had) a penchant for ruffling feathers on social media or in media interviews. Who cares? Does he win football games? That is ALL that matters.

So many fans act like the HC should both win AND adhere to their individual subjective standards of decorum. As a fan I didn't want LSU to hire a HC to "represent" me as an LSU fan? I just wanted LSU to hire a guy who can win a lot of football games. As long as Kiffin does that, I don't particularly care how he does it or what he does when he's not coaching football
