You didn’t listen to the press conference

Saban kicks himself for trying the NFL when he did. Had he stayed at LSU, the Tigers would’ve ruled the SEC, and LSU may have 6 more championships. Saban would be the King of Louisiana, and wouldn’t have to share a legacy of greatness with The Bear.

Well, I did listen to the press conference and the impression I was left with was that Saban and Pete Carrol both told Lane that LSU was a better job than either Ole Miss or Florida. Saban has said that it was his own big mistake to leave the LSU job for the NFL.
I can believe that Saban told Lane that the LSU job was one of the very best in CFB and that it certainly had an advantage over even Bama in that there is no "Auburn" in the state of La. fighting LSU for commitments. I guess this is where Saban probably told Lane that the LSU job is actually better because LSU has no in-state rival to contend with.
And I have to conclude that Lane was protecting Saban by not revealing that Saban told him that in that respect the LSU job was better than the Alabama job.
Anyway, there are two Coaches that LSU fans should from now on speak highly of - Pete Carrol and Nick Saban.
Didn't Pete Carrol tell somebody that he at one past point in time wanted to be the LSU football head coach? I know I read that somewhere.
Saban and Carrol are "friends of ours" in the LSU Mafia.

Would Saban have stayed at LSU if it weren’t for Candi??

Lane also said he wouldn’t disclose what Saban told him about Bama, while saying he was “reminded” by “someone” that LSU is and I quote: “the best job in football” —-can only be mentioning Saban

Saban basically said this on game day last Saturday.

I can't see Saban telling anybody that the LSU job is better than the Alabama job, but, I could be wrong.
It would be MASSIVE if true
I took “above them all” as in above all the current job openings

If Saban was 10 years younger he would have taken the job baw
