We all know who the problem is...a simple enforcement of smoking weed would clear out some rift raft. I saw culcha bro's smoking openly multiple times throughout the day with not a care in the world and police just standing around.

I did not blame them for the shootings, did I? Learn to read. It is bringing people to that area who otherwise would not be there. Is that a complicated concept?

I stand on my point. To blame a couple of smoke shops as the reason thousands of people showed up and caused trouble on Saturday is still ridiculous.

I posted this in another thread but just enforcing general quality of life crimes would end this.

Smoking weed, twerking in the street, starting fights… all of that is usually ignored by cops because LSU is terrified but drag anyone who commits those crimes to jail and this ends overnight.

Landry is a clown. But this is the kind of thing at which me might be effective. He doesn't really worry about the "optics" of increased security and if the perpetually aggrieved will complain.

He was spot on putting State Troopers in Nola and it has helped.

The same thing needs to happen at LSU on game day apparently.

This is solid from Landry. He knows the economic value of LSU games.
People from around the country want to experience LSU gamedays. Can’t let this shite spiral

How though? Landry's signature legislation is constitutional carry. It has deprived law enforcement of a huge tool in rooting out the kind of behavior that needs to be stopped.

For starters they can ban Randy from Walker. I heard he was running prostitution rings all day in Allen Hall area.

Bulldoze Tigerland.
That would eliminate a good portion of idiots with bad intentions on gameday.

Once anyone steps on LSU campus with a gun on their person and they aren't explicitly travelling from their car to their dorm room, they are breaking the law. Or at least, that's the way I understand it.

BR really needs to clean that whole area up

There were plans to do exactly this but the local state representative and her crew were disrespected so she killed the project.

Not to be repetitive, but we need to pick a lane. Anyone else see the irony of complaining about BR thug life on game day and then having a light show to a song in the stadium that celebrates BR thug life. How about collectively screaming STTDB but complaining when trashy things occur on campus? Who do we wanna be? You can't start the ride and then complain when it picks up speed.

rift raft.

The correct phrase is “riff-raff.”

? Riff-raff refers to disreputable or undesirable people — basically the “low crowd.”
Example: “We don’t let that kind of riff-raff into the bakehouse.”

? Rift-raft isn’t a real term — it’s just a common mishearing or misspelling of riff-raff.

Origin: The phrase comes from Middle English rif and raf (meaning “every scrap” or “everything worthless”), dating back to the 14th century.

Solve some of the problem by going in the low income housing behind campus and buy the housing up. Real estate developers commonly the time . The half the crime goes away or at least some of it .

Its a huge economic driver of the state, you only get 7 of them a year, and people are going to stop coming if they're subjected to that.
Many have already stopped coming because of all the things we have discussed on here ad nauseum.

This nonsense will only make it worse if it's not "Nipped in the Bud" with extreme prejudice.

Like Barney Fife used to say on the Andy Griffith show. " Ya Gotta Nip it the Bud. Nip It."

Here's Barney talking about the current LSU situation.

LSU admin is already helping push this with how terrible Gameday atmosphere has become. They’ve priced out a lot of people.

It aint that damn bad because the campus is filled to the brim on good SEC weekends. And people are paying the prices.
