When people are taking the pledge out of our schools, burning the Flag in the streets and removing it from schools, and hanging the mexican flag instead, I think the fact that 90+ thousand people sing and remove thier caps is awsome. Putting TIGERS at the end combines the fact that we are proud americans and tiger fans....if you want to bitch about someone being disrespectful to our nation check out our schools and the people hanging other countries flags here in the USA.

I think it is retarded but it doesn't really offend me.

Actually, the fact that we have several thousand people in the stadium who think something so stupid is "cool" is a little offensive.

It bothers me because I think of the 12 individuals from my unit who didn't come home from doing their duty. They are the "brave" that the song is meant for.

It bothers me because I think of jason dunham who didn't make it back home because he laid his life on the line after his men were threatned. I was in his unit for a while and I encourage everyone to google him.
Maybe it will shed some light on why I'm offended by the home of the tigers.
I can't listen to the national anthem without it bringing me to tears. Its a shame that everyone isn't the same way.

Because it isn't unique, it isn't funny, it isn't cool, it isn't badass, it is just stupid. What is the point in changing a word in the National Anthem to fit your team? It isn't like it hasn't been done before. Other teams aren't going to marvel at the brilliance. Other teams aren't going to shite their pants because they are so scared. It proves nothing. The only reponse it will ever draw is "hey, they fricked up the national anthem just because they thought it was cool to say TIGERS at the end, what a bunch of dumbasses."

Why even take the chance of it offending someone? Its the freaking National Anthem. It is a little deeper than just adding "you suck" or "a-hole" to one of the band's songs. Just keep your mouth shut if you can't sing it the way it was meant to be sang.

I completely agree. There isn't much the fans can do about Toonces or the 10:00 game, but they sure as hell play their part in the jorts, jersey, and wave stupidity. I would add "home of the TIGERS" in that category as well. I wonder if it is a coincidence the retarded wave always originates in the student section, which is also where the retarded "home of the TIGERS" is the loudest?

I think it's disrespectful when 75% of the student section is singing the national anthem like it's a big drunken sing-a-long like they do "Callin Baton Rouge" or "Lousiana Saturday Night." If you can't sing it with respect, don't sing it.

+1

I find it disrespectfull. I am a former Marine and I am NOT a tiger and this country is NOT the home of the tigers. It is home of the BRAVE. The BRAVE men and women who served our country to give us the freedom to be able to go to a game. It's the BRAVE men and women who gave their lives for the freedom we have just to post on this message board. I have actually turned to fellow Bama fans after the anthem is played and told them if they are going to talk during the National Anthem, they need to pick up a gun and put on some camo.

This is not a flame at LSU fans, it pisses me off when I go to a Braves game when they do it. Never heard Tulame do it. To me, people who want to change the words to the National Anthem, are up there with people who have no problem with taking the words 'One Nation, Under God" out of the Pledge of Allegience.

If you're not a TIGER don't go to Tiger Stadium and you don't have to listen to it.

The only time I thought this was cool was when Oklahoma did it at the '03 National Championship game. Only because I think every one of their fans said Sooners and it was effing LOUD.
