I just didn't love it any more. And it was no longer worth it to me. Best of luck to Lanard, and kudos to you for quitting when it was right for him!
Translation: selfishness is good! Team is meaningless.

I wish him nothing but the best.I thought that the should have been used more last year in the passing game and running off the edge. Good luck to him in his future endeavors.

I will never forget his 3 carries.

i wish him the best, but can anyone remember a guy leaving midyear while he's getting playing time just to 'move on with this life'?
kinda strange

Whats he gonna go do, work for enterprise rent a car now?
Is that the best an LSU degree will get him? I think you are devaluing the young man and his degree.

I wish him well, I just dont understand one thing. Why quit?
Maybe playing football didn't make him that happy?

The rest of this guys life when coworkers or friends Google him, they will find out he quit on his team. That will likely carry some ramifications in his career.
Only if those people are pieces of shite

Why didnt he just make it thru a few weeks, finish this season, and then move on.
He had his reasons and he doesn't owe some pencil dick like you an explanation.

It's probably hard for some people to believe that there's more to life than just LSU sports.

I'm good
If it wasn't making him happy he should have moved on.
That's not for anyone else to decide but him. Calling him a quitter sounds pretty silly after he spent 4.5 years here and obtained his degree. Sounds like he follows through on the things that matter to him. Obviously college football wasn't one of those things.

This....he was pretty effective when he was used last year. I wish him well.

Lanard graduated. He is moving on with his life. He has his degree and probably has a job lined up. If LSU really needed him badly he would not be leaving.
Critics in this case are just plain stupid.

Agreed, you actually have a chance to do something our brother didn't for once...beat bama, win a championship, and have Sr. Day! Got to be more to this story!
Yeah probably doesn't want to take carries away from our new crop of RB's just because he is a senior. That is as likely as any of the negative crap y'all are hinting at.

Good luck Lanard. You helped right the ship and we thank you!!!

I'm sure Coach O will make sure that he'll still get his championship ring.

He has a year of eligibility left. Could grad transfer somewhere.

It depends on what that degree is. General Studies like most athletes..........not so attractive. Accounting, more attractive.

He has a year of eligibility left if he "redshirts" this year. He would have played in four or less games. By quitting now, he still has the option of playing elsewhere as a grad transfer next year.
