Being a likable baseball announcer has got to be so hard. You have to be someone people don’t mind listening to talking about nonsense because of all the dead time but also be knowledgeable.

I do think he is one of the best but I had to turn the sound off when they were going on and on while Milazzo was fouling off pitch after pitch. He did acknowledge the excellent at bat once he got on base, which I realized after watching the replay. I will give him credit for that.

One of my favorite Kyle Peterson moments was actually a dumb comment that he made and he knew it immediately.
It was years ago and they were discussing a high number of batters being HBP and he had a brain fart and said something like "and all of those came on inside pitches" then almost instantly he said "aw geez" like he was thinking, man I'm an idiot.
My wife and I still laugh about it. It's funnier because he's so good but just slipped up with a dumb comment and Eduardo never noticed cause he's an idiot and Kyle called himself on it discretely.
